Overall though I think it's a good shop tour, and shows some of the capabilities they have down there. I had no idea that they did so much down at Pfaff until we went down there.

The ending was just to mess with Jerry a bit.

Yeah the sound was an unfortunate circumstance. We didn't know until after all the shooting was done and I was back in Havasu etc.. We had the real deal equipment there, but a friend helped me out by being the boom mic guy and he hadn't done it before. Sometimes shit happens. Overall I don't think you'll find a video that in depth and informative on any other sites as far as a shop tour goes.

Yeah, the audio isn't what I expected... I take full responsibility for the problem. I set a level on the field mixer prior to the interviews and subsequently did not explain to Bill what he really needed to do, ie riding levels. Obviously, I set the level too hot. Bill had nothing to do with the problem, he was just following along.

I brought 6 lavs & a 16 channel mixer in addition to a boom mic, a Sennheiser 416, and a Shure FP-35 field mixer. Because we were walking all around the shop the boom mic & field mixer setup was the best choice.

The next video will not have these same audio issues...

Audio issues aside, I hope everyone enjoys the content of the video. There is a LOT of information presented and the Dyno pulls are pretty cool too... I am shocked at how much a blower belt flops around at 7000 rpm. Violent to say the least.

You have no idea how close it was to becoming just that. Unfortunately I have a receivables list that would choke a freakin horse right now or I would've done it on my own.

I spoke to Ross about trying to find a last minute title sponsor and presented to the people that would do that sort've thing. Because we are working on some big projects in the background right now, we just have too much on our plate to try and take this on as well. Desert Storm is priority 1 right now.

Out of curiosity, what would a 600 or 800hp Pfaff motor cost vs a merc? No outdrive. These guys definitely have a much more doors open policy than mercury could offer seeing as that they just distribute motors to dealers.

WE have been really toying with the idea of adding a whipple to our stoker (Merc 500hp) or just building it up to a 750-800 NA deal. I have really been leaning towards the NA deal just to keep everything under the hatch and low key.
