I adopted a couple of random cats a couple of years ago, both females. They were young, less than 1 year old and one of them was and still is the most loving pet you could ever hope for, Bella. The other cat is more of your typical cat, but loving in her own way, own her own terms, like a the stereotypical cat. I don't remember why I named her penny but my soon to be wife said it was because she is Penny wise, from the movie. This cat is fucking brutal, she loves eating rabbit heads and we don't find the carcass soon enough she will eat most of it. My wife sent me these photos this morning and no words were needed. This cat has brought in so many rabbits in to the house and killed them, some of her kills are bigger than her and left so much carnage (blood, guts, brains etc) that it's like a horror film when we come home. The pictures tell the story from this mornings breakfast rabbit.

Sounds like a cat doing cat things.

We have between 4 and 7 cats around here at any given time. The amount of stuff they kill is mind boggling. Mice, squirrels, rabbits, lizards, snakes (two of them killed a rattle snake a few years ago, was wild to watch) and lots of small birds. Two things always amaze me. One, how they can eat something that's half their size or larger with no problems. Two, how disturbingly loud the sound of bones crunching are as they eat, like their ears are megaphones or something. It's like sitting in the car with someone you don't like while they eat a bag of corn nuts.

I'm not a cat guy. But when the boys were young, we always had a couple that would sleep in the shoe room. The orange cat was my buddy, she was a bad azz. Sadly got killed by a car. There was always dead birds at the back door. Showing off their work I guess. I figured the dead birds would be over after the orange cat was gone. Lilly the grey cat was not much of a bad azz. To my surprize I walked out the back door, and Lilly was battling two birds. She was doing a flat footed jump 5ft in the air to swat the birds out of the air. For several years the dead birds continued at the back door. I had no idea that they were the work of Lilly.

And this is why I prefer dogs lol
cats verse dogs is like Ford VS Chevy, both are right and in an honest moment, both understand why both are right. Domesticated cats with attitude ( catitude?) are so similar to dogs, just smaller and dont shit or pee in the house outside of a litter box:eek::eek:

Shave the fur off just about any random cat and they look like that, they look like aliens with not fur. On one of my jobs we had to demo a dock leveler, we cribbed it up with 4x6's and cut it apart with a torch, the two male labors I sent to do the deed scurried out like little bitches saying a dead cat was at the back. The female labor said I'll get this done, crawled in with the torch, cut the hinges and top of the ram off, and crawled out like a boss with one de-haired mummified cat that had died there along time ago. We duct taped the mummified cat to the front of the 10K LULL forklift as a hood ornament. It was freaky looking. After a month of being a hood ornament I put it under my PM's desk, then it got shit canned.

NFW I would have a hairless cat.

We had a cat growing up that would bring her kills inside. She was proud of her trophies. A complete badass. Today, no cats, but there is a neighborhood cat, we call it the beefcoon because it looks like a cross between a racoon and mountain lion when it passes our cameras at night. I don't bother the beefcoon, because I know its out there doing the lords work for me - birds, scorpions or any other critters around.

Cats don't and will never have an "Owner". They have humans.
They are very independent animals, but definitely seek human interaction once you have connected with them. Same as with dogs, but dogs are much more accepting of human interactions, you have to work at connecting with a cat. Once done, the results are almost the same, very loyal, understand vocal commands and comply, unless they don't want to. From my experience cats take about 30 seconds to process your verbal commands to decide if they will comply or ignore. They are temperamental, sophisticated, independent and have a thought process of their own....there is reason the slang term for female genitalia is what it is, the same as for a cat.

Cats have the same intelligence or more of dogs, but you have to work harder to bring it out in them. Their hunter instincts rule how they behave, tickle that with love, verbal commands and they will respond the same as canines, but with less vigor.

I came home from vacation last Sunday to find a cat sleeping on my truck. Very friendly and it has taken a liking to my boys, now it just hangs around my house. I’m not much of a cat guy but he has a nice cheetah like pattern.

I don’t know shit about cats but I looked up both a Maine Coon and a Bengal and I believe it’s a Bengal. It’s super cool, very friendly and not shy of people like most cats are.

That's what I'm going with is Bengal. There are "spotted" and "marble" Bengals and that one appears to be a spotted. My mom used to breed them. My favorite cat was Kiya, she was and F3(supposed to have our exotic pet license) 3rd gen from the wild. They are bred from an African snow leopard. She was quite the character and very protective. Had a few buddy's that would always say "my dog hates cats and will year any cat up" I'd laugh and offer to lock their dog in a room with Kiya, they all politely declined and she was only around 10lbs🤣 she was a marble.

Maybe that’s why this one is so friendly, it has nothing to be afraid of lol. Most cats see people other than their owners and hide.
