Wanted to pass this one along cause few know about them....My wifes dad passed last month, Korea War Vet, LAPD motorbike officer. We got told about and contacted them as he was a motor officer.

These folks honor and protect any funeral of any veteran - a lot of protests by non supporters in several states. They motorcade you out (we had 30 bikes), surround the actual funeral, and will protect the event by advising any protester to cease and desist....If there was an issue they surround them with there bikes - and fire em up...LOUD.
Just not an issue were I live but damn the impact of these folks just made a very bad day AUESOME!! They fly huge US flags on thier bikes - peacfully stop traffic.....

Even had two CHP motorsbikes jump in the procession on the highway to the site.

THESE BOYS ROCK!

I was on Van Buren the other day when the motorcade passed me headed to Riverside Nat'l Cemetary with the Marine who had died in Afganistan... His dad must have been an LEO with Santa Ana because they had A LOT of motors and vehicles, with every vehicle running a USMC flag on it.

Long story short, it was about a half hour worth of vehicles passing by, and the Patriot guys were out in force. Anybody protesting at a funeral needs a HUGE ass kicking anyway. Those look like the perfect guys to do it.

It really makes you wonder WTF the world is coming too, when these people feel the need to disrespect the dead, that died defending their very rights..

Seriously, who does that?

I was at the funeral procession 2 days ago. The PHG guys rode by before the hearst came by and was telling everyone on the sidewalks to either salute or put your hand over your heart. :thumbsup Some pics.

You got me on that one. I will tell you, if I ever went to a funeral and some asshat(s) started pulling that shit in front of the family, I might not get all of them but I'd get a bunch of them...

Great pics H. I pulled over and watched that going the other way. Very nice turnout for the family.:thumbsup

My step dad is a patriot gaurd. He does missions all the time. He just escorted that 19yr old Marine off the plane to the mortuary, last Friday. It was all over TV here in Socal.

RD, It's mainly a huge group of tree huggers that feel the Marines are sent from the devil. They don't understand that they are a part of our nations security.

This was discussed on the radio yesterday morning. Interestingly, a Marine called in and said that he was serving to save ALL of our freedoms. When asked about those that would disrupt a funeral, he responded that those citizens also have a right to their freedoms and for him to not defend even those ass-holes, would be hipocritical.

Kinda made me think alot about the Marines' comments.

I, also, am a Patriot Guard Rider. Our principle mission is to honor our fallen heroes. We do shield the family's from the protesters, however we do not engage the protesters as this would cause an altercation and would not shield the families. What we do is step in front of the protesters with our flags and shield the family from them. If they get vocal we sing patriotic songs. I have only been on a couple of missions where there were protesters. We intimidated them to the point that they left before the family arrived. Some of the Patriot Guard are not veterans and everyone does not ride a motorcycle. The people that participate are just patriotic Americans doing what is right. Myself and a few other riders usually ride ahead and hold flags as the funeral prosession arrives.
