Still wish I had my 550. Im going to buy another one some day again.

When I did have one. I could run from Riverland up to the dam and back on a full tank of fuel. I may of had to flip to reserve for the last 1/2 mile or so, but I made it. By my calculations that's about 24 miles round trip?

why.............every fricken weekend the river is ruined.....my god tube floats and jet ski rides next it will be all boats over 30 ft.......bigger the better......i hate being a old prick now but man if u lived the river life in the 60,s and 70,s u would understand......any given weekend back then was early morn glass skiing behind a 18 ft flatty hydro or jet mid day drinking and eve glass off the big boys with blown flats and hydros would race back and fourth....and if u saw a a boat over 21 ft you would laugh your ass off and givem a boooo say take that boat to the ocean...........im like that comercial from the old day where a cheif indian is on his horse looking at the freeway and trash and has a tear running down his face..LOL thats like me at parker now i stand on a hill side look at the river and cry............:grumble::eek

Yes you will make it no worries, just don't full throttle it between card stops Lol.......(yea like that wont happen)
I dont have any time off from work, but thinking of calling in sick to make it out there...

And I have gone Dam to Dam on a full (stock) tank of gas in my modded 550 (single carb) and made it. the tank was damn near empty but I made it. I believe its about 24 miles? I just cruised at about 25-30 mph, quarter throttle.:thumbsup:thumbsup

Aww C'mon MOUZ, there are still plenty of glassy days and blown flatties... and its only 8am to 12noon.....im sure there wont be any lake lice on the water after that....
I had a lot of fun in my buddy Steve's blown flat on the tuesday after labor day weekend last year, got to drive from around the Badenochs area all the way to the dam. it was epic, and we saw only 2 other boats. I get it.....and I dig that kind of River too...I wish I lived here back in the 70s-80s and could have experienced those years. oh BTW you probably know Steve, he is "Boat104" on Performanceboats, he had that beautiful Blown Cole TR2, and then sold it a few years ago, now has an 81 Howard flat, also Blown...I love them blown flats!

Wish i could have made since i picked up a 550 a couple months back.BUt already have a trip planned to pirates cove in needles and will be bringing the ski to play in the morning.

Has been a while since i had one last was about 94 i think when it top end went i said f it for now and sold it.Now its start all over with the new one and probably wont get rid of this one but nice to see parts all over for them too.

I feel u... but these guys/gals ain't the problem , and I can drive my flat pretty hard over any chop a group of stand ups can even think about making. Anyone going to this ---->>>>make sure to buy a raffle ticket for the 550 Dave built because I saw it the other day (bought one) and it's worth the shot :thumbsup

It's filled and ready you don't need to refill when you're done so I can store it empty.

Nice! yeah Steve is good people, Iv'e known him since about 94' Iv'e had some great river trips with him. and he used to be my boss at the bus yard. :thumbsup

Man I wish I would have been keeping up on my phone over the weekend. I did this run as well! Really cool event and Ill plan a little differently next year, this was my first time. I had plenty of gas, stock 550, red '84 blue and silver graphics, and yellow turf. It was anchored out in the current most of the afternoon. My buddy was a sponsor for the event and had a booth set up that I was hanging at most of the morning.

On a side note, I help plan and put on another ride on the lower river the weekend before Labor Day. I have a lot on my plate this month but Ill get something posted about it. I know that there are quite a few stand up riders on the board here :thumbsup:thumbsup
