What say you the masses? Fill in the checkers or go with a whole new paint scheme. Need some ideas.

What's wrong with the way it is?
Nothing really. I would just like to get a more modern color scheme. Checkers is a little 90's. Now if it was an 80's color scheme, I wouldn't touch it.
I like the checkers. It was always one of my favorite designs on boats.
Chris
So just add more horsepower then?
put some light blue on it to match toy hauler
save your money it looks just fine
Thats always is a fun way to quench your thirst! Im trying to be a good boy and leave all my shit alone, but its hard!
I always want to go to the next stage!

Also his has a white rub rail, you have blackIs yours a 22 as well? Looks like you've got a teal pinstripe (mine does not). That's just enough to call our separate boats "custom".
How do you like how it rides?
I don't have teal. Might fill in the purple though. That's the original direction I was thinking if I change it at all.I would change it. Fill in the checkers and maybe have an all purple rear and 86 the teal and maybe add a grey in there. It will def update thr look.

I've seen Kevin's work up close. He's one of the best. I would take it to him most likely since he is local.Looks good as it is, but if you do decide to change it, take a look at the work that Kevin does at KMG. He does some amazing stuff

My $.02 is both boats look pretty damn good, I wouldn't touch them unless there was damage. Ten years from now a new M35 will look dated and yours wiil look classic...

I don't quite understand how you would fill in the gel coat checkers. With paint. ? :headscratch:
Good question. Inmates?

mine does have the teal. so we do have custom gel coats.
rides great i just need a little more power. i have the silent exhaust and no headers. i was told get headers and have it dump in the back would get me to 60mph right
now i can hit 55mph on a good day. just don't want to spend that much money for 5mph

Sure, checkers are a bit dated but it's the entire theme of your boat and, I would venture to say, it's one of the cleanest and nicest checker themes out there. I'd keep it, if it were me.
There is something honest about things looking their age. As long as they are in excellent condition, it can add value in some instances.
I would have to agree with you to keep it as is. The inmates have spoken loud and clear.
