Nothing really. I would just like to get a more modern color scheme. Checkers is a little 90's. Now if it was an 80's color scheme, I wouldn't touch it.

I like the checkers. It was always one of my favorite designs on boats.

The boat already has headers and the engine is reliable and solid. I'm not messing with it.

Is yours a 22 as well? Looks like you've got a teal pinstripe (mine does not). That's just enough to call our separate boats "custom".

My $.02 is both boats look pretty damn good, I wouldn't touch them unless there was damage. Ten years from now a new M35 will look dated and yours wiil look classic...:thumbup:

You need to update it with some reverse tribal flames ......maybe some air brushed diamond plate :thumbup:

I've seen Kevin's work up close. He's one of the best. I would take it to him most likely since he is local.

I think you would use gel and go over all the checkers. You need Gelcoater or Retaocleg in here..

Sure, checkers are a bit dated but it's the entire theme of your boat and, I would venture to say, it's one of the cleanest and nicest checker themes out there. I'd keep it, if it were me.

There is something honest about things looking their age. As long as they are in excellent condition, it can add value in some instances.

rides great i just need a little more power. i have the silent exhaust and no headers. i was told get headers and have it dump in the back would get me to 60mph right
now i can hit 55mph on a good day. just don't want to spend that much money for 5mph

Mine has the teal also. Mine is a 25' with a 502 no headers. Top speed is about 65 mph.

Haven't you heard.... The 90's are the new 80's. I think it looks good the way it is. Paint on a family boat is not always a good combination.
