@BUDMAN do you come across simi trailers for sale? Possible looking for an odd size one @ 48' long. Looking at making a parts trailer out of it for projects and hirer tractor to move it around.

I don’t know of any for sale. I do know when yellow freight shut down the whole fleet was being actioned off. Try Ritchie Bros.

Thanks, going to check out a couple that WYRD has. Do trailers need yearly DOT inspections?

Thought so. By the looks of my business neighbors trailers they can held together with duct tape and still be road worth.

Think Budman does this too, not sure.

Mine don't they have permanent tags I think as long as you have only 1 vehicle under the motor carrier permit nothing needs an annual.

California based trailers need inspections every 90 days. If not Cal based they only need the Annual done.
It’s something that will stay at the shop until we have a larger project to use it on, then it will be moved there and 90% of the time it’s outside CA.
