But really, working the event for a few hours is just a good excuse to head up there and do some shopping

Getting into it for sure. Wife and I just bought a refurbished 90's FWC Hawk. She is very interested in camping but I have been 'overlanding' with my buds for years. Would love to go to one of these but Flagstaff next spring will have to be the one to hit.

I’ve got a few years until my boys are ready to start camping and off-roading.

But since I mind-fuck everything before pulling the trigger, I figure this is a good place to start LOL

Lol that term always takes me right back to the good ole DTX days.

Four Wheel Campers was started by Dave Rowe in Colorado. He still holds the patent on the folding top mechanism that is still used on the 4 Wheel Campers made today.

Here is mine and a friend that has one on his Power Wagon.

Good Lord what a beautiful example of a Jeep pickup!

My first truck as a 16 year old kid was a Jeep J4000! Mine was Forest Green (We painted it with Rust-Oleum!), a black steel flatbed, front and rear steel bumpers, 35" tires, a 360ci motor and a 4 speed trans. No power steering and more play in the wheel than should have been allowed! God what a great truck to grow up with! I wish I still had it today!!

Thats awesome. The Power Wagon (or diesel version) is pretty much my goal of my next truck. I currently have a ram half ton and while it handles it, you definitely feel it back there. We absolutely love our Hawk.
