What are you all using for the outside trash can when camping.
WE have had the collapsable ones but man they get so nasty. Mainly from my friends/family dogs pissing on them LOL or they blow away at night if I dont rember to weigh them down.
Thinking of trying this one out.
At least the dogs would just piss on the bag and not the container itself.

I usually let my trash blow away

This might be a nice solution!

The only issue I see with this is the bag is exposed and sometimes the birds come eat through the bags and you end up with a bigger mess.

I use the collapsible ones, with a 40/55 gallon trash bag. Have a husky velcro/carabiner thing i use to tie it to the trailer.

exactly .... or through a rock or 2 in the bottom... like anything, you've got to clean them once in a while...:)

I carry a 5lb cement weight to put in the bottom, it's smooth so that it doesn't have any Jagged edges to cut the fabric. When they get too dirty just pick up a new one

I use a metal bage holder for loading leaves into a bag, from Harbor Frieght. It works good. When I do use a collapsible one, I use a velcro strap to the RV so it doesn't blow away. Almost every time I use it some tomcat pisses on it. 😳😳

I have a funny burning trash story...

We were at LOTO a few years back, in an RV park. Our spot was at the very far end of the park from the dumpsters. The spot wasnt an actual RV spot, it was a space that was basically in the owners front yard, with grass and stuff. When we let the dogs out, we made sure to clean up after them, and we had a bag outside that we put all the dog shit in. We were taking trash to the dumpsters the night before we left, and one of the camps were out at their fire shootin the breeze. As we walked by, they felt a serious urge to befriend us, because they liked our Super C. We chatted for a while, they were full time RV'ers from Mississippi (whole family, parents, sons, wives, kids, etc). One of their grandkids was cruising the park on a bicycle with no shoes carrying a hatchet.

We stood there talking and my wife was holding one of the trash bags. These dudes from mississippi were insistent that we just throw our trash in their fire. Id tell them nah, I wont throw it in there this bag has a ton of plastic in it. They would tell me something like "hell, we burn tires at our house, just throw it in there". I kept saying no, wed chat a little more, they drank a little more, then finally one of the guys walked over to my wife, grabbed her bag of trash out of her hand (the one totally full of dog shit), and threw it in their campfire., and picked up the bag next to my foot and threw it in. I was still holding one that only had coors light cans, and he was like "cmon, throw that puppy in there" as he tried to get it out of my hands.

I laughed, and said "nah this one is full of dog shit".

They looked at us dumbfounded (that we even cleaned it up) and said "awwww hellll no, we dont burn no fukin dog shit!!!"

My wife mumbled "now ya do" and wandered off.
