Although we live in a gated community, we have the occasional landscape company or other vendor doing work in the neighborhood try and leave fliers or notes pawning their services. On more than one occasion they are completely baffled by the fact there is no place to leave a flier. We have a large glass and aluminum pivot front entry door that has very tight tolerances with no gaps or seams wide enough to stick a piece of paper. What I find so funny is, they consistently try and put their flier in the door at the same spot over and over and expect different results.

This is literally the 3rd or 4th time we have caught this on video. Gave us a chuckle.

And this is the type of person or company you would want working on your house.? ? ? ? I think not.

Jesus Christ. . . . roll the thing up and stick it in the handle.

Guess that requires an IQ above 40.

If you can't figure that out, I don't want you washing the sidewalk in front of my house. Let alone setting foot on my property.

I don't imagine they're paying journeymen to go around sticking flyers on doors....these are random dumbshits they find that need to earn a few bucks.

Around here the gardener solicitors put their business card in a small bag filled with rocks and toss it in your driveway. I've caught a couple and tossed it back at them, asking how they'd like it if I tossed trash around their yard.
I'm confident the blank stare I get in return means he doesn't have a clue what I said and thinks I'm a crazy f*cking gringo. 🤣

To be fair, our handle has too large of a gap to keep the paper secured. He could have pulled a rock from our landscaping but I'm glad he didn't. After seeing the leaflet, it is part of the city doing some work in our neighborhood.

I get the same shit!

I’d love to find out where they live , take a cubic yard of sand and dump it in their drive way w a NO Solicitation card …

I'm ok with it. I'd rather them try to work then get handouts.

I agree.. It's old school, knock on doors, try to drum up some business, realtors do it too.. I'm actually ok with it and I understand. I have solar people coming at me a couple times a month, it does get a little old. What I don't like is the constant phone calls.

Agreed and those guys are a lot smarter than some here are giving them credit for. That's a pure numbers game - they know the ratio of fliers and doors they need to knock on to land a new customer.
My son did a deep dive into a window washing business - and if you play these ratios right the money can be very, very surprising.

I really like that idea and being retired, sounds entertaining. 😁

I have had issues twice. I have a no soliciting sign. But it's not a big deal. The problem was at 330 am he was trying to get it to stay on my door lever while my dog was going crazy on the otherside of the door. Looked on my camera and it looked like he was trying to open my front door.

Few months later at 6am. I called both times and their employees are just doing there job. If it was 10 am not so bad.

To be honest, I'd probably try multiple times too because I'm not fond of failing a simple task like that.😄
