The storms we've had this past weekend were pretty insane. Couple of small tornados on friday night, nasty winds and rain Saturday morning. Poptart had 4" of rain in the gauge. Big limb came out of a pine in her yard, power has been out up there since Saturday morning also.

I hauled 2 generators and a chain saw up there Sunday morning.


Hauled her and her mom here Saturday afternoon.

My younger step sister, Rachel Hill is there, she's the head publisher for Trade-A-Plane. We grew-up with the Stone family in Crossville, TN.
If anyone sees her tell her big brother (David) says hello. I'm sure she would get a kick out of it and question how small of a world is it...

Closest I'll come to covering "it" will be tossing my anchor in the lake 2 miles from the runway and taking some shitty cell phone pics. Lololol!



Believe me, if I could find a 2 seater plane with "redbull" livery, I'd be the first one on line!!!!!

Was just sitting at the counter in the kitchen and heard a strange sound outside. Sounded like a jet, and then a stunt prop plane... went and looked, and saw the oddest thing. Twin engine, twin fuselage, doing tricks... also making all sorts of "jet" noise. WTF is that????

Have wanted to go for years but this is the first time it will all come together..

Thanks for the reminder. My dad restored one airplane, some of my first memories were an Aeronca in the garage.
Then he built two more experimentals from scratch. Converted and built VW engine 4 aircraft.
He's housebound now pretty much,I'll see if I can get my wife to figure out how to get the feed.

During the Apollo celebration here last weekend, they had a guy on the radio who was down for the festivities. He is on the board of the airshow and flew in promoting it. Had some really interesting facts about the whole deal. The number of planes flying in was crazy. 1,000's from all over.

A good buddy of mine used to have a Vans RV-6A, we went up and did some 1G rolls, it was a trip for sure. I was flying gliders a lot at that time so he let me land the plane, the thing has really small wings and super sensitive to stick inputs, you'd land the thing pretty fast for a small plane. I touched down and he says "Nice Landing.... are you gonna slow us down?" and i responded "There are no brakes on this side dude!" (plane only had brakes on the left side rudder pedals) He throttled it back up and we we went around again.

We always talk about flying back in his 206, but we both end up being super busy with work around this time of year it seems.
