Don't know if this is true didn't look it up. A talking head this morning said the last time the dems used the 14th amendment was on Lincoln. Civil war started soon after. If true, thought that was interesting.

Yes and no

They used the 14th to keep Lincoln off most of the ballots in the southern states

That talking head failed 7th grade civics.

Lincoln was assassinated in 1865.

The 14th amendment was not ratified until 1868 as part of reconstruction after the civil war.

With his garbage comment, wearing a MAGA hat, saying Trump should be locked up, Dr Jill dressing head-to-toe in Trump-red on election day, it's almost as if he was trying to sabotage Harris' campaign; heck I might even conclude that he's finally starting to understand "the enemy within...!" Too little too late, but could it be that Joe finally gets it?

I don't think that theory is far fetched at all to be honest. The timing sure supports it in the sense that they wanted to see how he would do in the debate. They didn't really wait long to go with plan B after that night. Like you said I'm sure Dr. Jill didn't exactly get what she wanted out of the deal so they threw in their last FU's to Kamala and the party.

I finally think that the party is crippled as it should be considering their moves over the last 4 years especially. Scary part is now that they have time on their hands how much further will they take their insanity during Trump's next term?

I don’t think they were trying to sabotage anything. I’d say the comments were just reactive to what was said and the hat just being relatable, probably the most he’s ever been. I think he had already been kicked out so the campaigning pressure was off. Jill’s red outfit may have been saying something. But it doesn’t really matter now. 🎉
I don’t think he’s getting anything except ice cream for dessert.

I do think Doc makes a great point in his second paragraph about the Democratic Party.
