We love Williams this time of year
Took our POS SLOW UTV up to Bill Williams mountain. About 9300'. Our home is at 6800'.
Some of the views our from our front yard at Elephant Rocks GC and you can see the towers where we rode to and the one looking down is our subdivision going up the mountain. Yes my zoom sux.
The switchbacks are fun. You can see a little in the one pic. Full left then full right makes it fun. There is one way up and 2 ways down lol.

On the I40 today between Winslow and Flagstaff looked like three fires burning. One looked like a nuclear explosion! Thought Biden might have pushed the wrong button!

That’s it! We saw the big fire smoke from Winslow and driving to Flagstaff it looked like three separate fires. Hopefully they can get the fires out. My daughter has been working out of Holbrook for several months and said some fires have been burning for awhile in the area. We definitely want to spend some time in Williams! My wife has never been to the Grand Canyon and would like to take the grandson on the train and explore the area. The trees turning colors are beautiful and we will stop by for those tomahawks!

My daughter said there were some controlled fires in the area. I don’t know about the others by Flagstaff. For years the only part of Arizona we went to was Parker, Phoenix and Mead for the circle boat races. We went to Prescott for a wedding a few years ago and it was also very nice. Lots of Arizona to explore now that we are retired.

Hopefully not the lot behind us lol. We looked like we were on 10 acres until the big house went up next to us.
Not sure why they put backyard almost to our property. They have no backyard now

It's cool now so depends on what temps you like
Not many people out camping and I would think Jerome would be quiet this time of year if you don't like crowds
It can get hot in the summer and different elevations varies with temps
About 100 mile round trip
