Appears to be a 79', I bought a new one in 81', rode the shit out of it all over the tomato fields and hills around Rancho Penasquitos, Borrego and Ocotillo deserts for years with a group of fellow Honda riders.
Never a single problem, fart or burble, it just ran and ran. Sold it to the neighbor kid across the street with his dad's permission.
Took him through it, asked him if he new how to ride, claimed he did.
Silly kid, before I could stop him, he grabbed a hand full of throttle, popped the clutch and that big single thumper stood straight up on the tail light and started wheeling across the street. Me in futile pursuit.

He hung on until it dropped hard into the gutter, he ends up in the gutter, sittin on his ass, but the bike kept right on truckin across the street where it slammed into the side of his dad's freshly painted 65' resto Mustang. Car suffered far more driver's door damage than the busted tail light and turn signal stalk on the bike.

His Navy Commander dad was pretty cool about it, all things considered. Made the kid save the money to repair HIS bike and learn how to do body work on the car, he learned a tough lesson that day.
The kinda cool thing I doubt they offer anymore, he was able to take both a motorcycle and auto repair shop courses in high school.

That thing looks clean. $1000 would be a bargain.

These bikes are pretty popular these days. A grand would be a steal.

let him set the asking price. If he's cool with a thousand you got a great deal.
