Are you a Charter customer? You could try Charter's resell of VZ cell services...

Alternatively, you could look at T-Mobile. Or call VZ and threaten to switch unless they get the bill down, they may be able to make adjustments.

Used a service called Mint for my kids for a while, it was super cheap and piggybacks on the Verizon network. It was a good experience, and I would do it again. We were using the kids to test them so we could dump Verizon, but Verizon gave us an unlimited family deal where the incremental cost was in line with what we were paying for Mint, so we dropped them. There's a bunch of budget carriers out there like Cricket that piggyback on others' networks.

Like DHR said above, call them and tell them you want to cancel, and they will step up.

You can try ATT&T bundle with home internet. We just did it a few weeks ago. I think we saved 200 a month, really.

We switched to TMobile, two lines for $40 each all in, and 5G internet for $50.

My cheap sister has it and does not get very good service in havasu. All those piggyback providers are lower priority on the network. My Verzion works great where her consumer cellular in the same area is worse than me.

Zig. Not helping. I'm trying to utilize the knowledge of the inmates
As mjc said, these secondary carriers utilizing the major players networks get lower priority, so if the network is full of the major carrier users the secondary users might only receive 4g or less.

Even Verizon's own piggy back service (is it charter ?) Sucks anywhere you don't have great service. Living in mohave county I have learned to just bend over and pay Verizon, the service is night and day. In a bigger market, it might not matter as much, but I don't have any experience with that.

I'm curious why your cell bill is 300.00! 😱

My Verizon bill is around 65.00 a month is why I'm asking.

I know this is ghetto & prob. won't fit your program . . . but on the advice given from inmates here, I went 'pre-paid' w/ Verizon and pay $40 / month.
I get 15 GB of data and rarely use more than 10% of that monthly.
I 'was' paying $180/month with Sprint.
Needless to say I am very grateful for the advice given here on RDP.

PS . . . Here's a screen grab from my phone I took just now from my Verizon app.
9 days left in my bill cycle and I have 97% of my data remaining. I may even go to a lower tier plan.

My bookkeepers "real" job is Human Resources at the local Consumer Cellular call center. It seems to be a legit respected company. I can't speak to the actual "number of bars" service, but the call centers are U.S. based, so if you need to call, at least you will get someone speaking English!

I've used it for years. Have 4 lines and 15gb of data, pay 102 a month. Never really had issues with poor connection anywhere where others didn't. We use our phones to talk n text, don't really stream when not on WiFi. Every once in a while I'll hotspot my phone to my laptop to work on the go and it is fine.

This. Verizon Unlimited data prepaid is $50/month per line when you prepay $35 for 15 GB.

We're on Google Fi for $45 bucks a month for 3 phones. We don't use a lot of data. When we travel, we switch to the unlimited data and $125 a month for 3 phones.

Count your blessings. Anymore their customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced.
Right? I switched from V & have been sorely disappointed by both coverage & customer service. My phone needed a new sim card, the local store gave me the runaround, handed me a new sim card then told me to go to a corporate store.🙄
Guys at corp store got it done in just a few minutes. Said what the other store told me was 100% BS.
.
Coverage wise, we hit almost an hours drive of "no service" on our way to Havasu. Waiting just a tad longer to flip back to V, they keep sending agressive "come back" offers we'll take advantage of soon.

I think we pay less than $210 for 4 phones and a jetpack on an unlimited plan including mexico/international with Verizon.

I think when i added my kids phone it lowered all the other phones due to the size of group. It was almost free

God I hate ATT....lol

My corporate phone bill was like $600 a month with the worst service in the world. When i went voice over ip for the phones we saved $400+ a month and hours of yearly frustration...haha

Verizon bought TracFone and mine uses Verizon network. Had it for 5 years no issues. The wife has Verizon through Comcast $30 / mo

I’ll bet he’s on the payment plan for iPhone and tablet.

I’ve got an I phone and a tablet, unlimited, insurance, and at $101 mo.
