Got all 7 billet plates made. Will clean up the edges before going to polisher.
Awesome! Are those polished and clear anodized? That is what we plan to do with these plates.View attachment 1359784 View attachment 1359785 View attachment 1359786 View attachment 1359787 Nice work, those plates are looking great.
We did something similar but I was not going to try and keep them polished.

Thank you! I may have gone a little overboard with the flooring supports but, this trailer is solidDamn that thing looks great. Nicely done.
It sure does have a lot more steel in it than the new one I had built by a popular Havausu builder.
Do you own a shop as a business or is all this boat stuff just for fun??
Yes…. The answer is yes…. lol and he gets paid. There’s the difference of being a true pro. Getting paid for something you love doing.Do you own a shop as a business or is all this boat stuff just for fun??

Guide poles are chrome, how did you finish the plates? Everything looks beautifulFinally got the billet plates and chrome guide posts back. Waiting on a few more pieces we added on to this project to come back and then I'll be able to button up this build. I had the plates polished and then took them to another company to get clear Cerakote done. The vendor had them for 2 weeks and when I picked them up they looked like absolute SH**! so I rejected them. I told them to strip them and have them repolished and I'll pick them up. So they are just polished aluminum now.Guide poles are chrome, how did you finish the plates? Everything looks beautiful
So what do you think the issue was? Poor application of the CeraKote or is trying to coat a polished surface just problematic?I had the plates polished and then took them to another company to get clear Cerakote done. Lack of preparation and poor application. I have seen this process done on polished parts before and the outcome was perfect. These plates had runs and fish eyes over the entire surface of all 7 plates. I could have done better with spray can of clear from home depot. Needless to say this was the first and last time I use that vendor. So what do you think the issue was? Poor application of the CeraKote or is trying to coat a polished surface just problematic?
Asking for a friend who has some polished stuff on this boat motor...

Baby Doll has some crazy headlights! Spectra?
Thank you! I really appreciate the compliment!Man that came out nice. I really like your design on the guide poles, super clean.
The rails on the fenders are a cool idea too, kinda like what you might see on the running boards of a high end hot rod build.
Well done sir!
Thank you very much !cj222 outstanding work there dude! I really, really like how on this trailer and the other Schiada boat trailers you have built (seen here on RDP) the boats sit flat/level rather than nose up like a lot I’ve seen……mine included. Great craftsmanship !!
