Damn that thing looks great. Nicely done.

It sure does have a lot more steel in it than the new one I had built by a popular Havausu builder.

Thank you! I may have gone a little overboard with the flooring supports but, this trailer is solid 👍

old trailer up for sale. Everything is fresh about the trailer. Previous owner redid it just before I bought it. Excellent condition.

Do you own a shop as a business or is all this boat stuff just for fun??
Yes…. The answer is yes…. lol and he gets paid. There’s the difference of being a true pro. Getting paid for something you love doing.
thanks for all the updates Nick. I’ll see you today at noon with the boat.

Guide poles are chrome, how did you finish the plates? Everything looks beautiful
I had the plates polished and then took them to another company to get clear Cerakote done. The vendor had them for 2 weeks and when I picked them up they looked like absolute SH**! so I rejected them. I told them to strip them and have them repolished and I'll pick them up. So they are just polished aluminum now.

So what do you think the issue was? Poor application of the CeraKote or is trying to coat a polished surface just problematic?

Asking for a friend who has some polished stuff on this boat motor...

Lack of preparation and poor application. I have seen this process done on polished parts before and the outcome was perfect. These plates had runs and fish eyes over the entire surface of all 7 plates. I could have done better with spray can of clear from home depot. Needless to say this was the first and last time I use that vendor.

Why not go stainless? Polish once and done.

Man that came out nice. I really like your design on the guide poles, super clean.

The rails on the fenders are a cool idea too, kinda like what you might see on the running boards of a high end hot rod build.

Well done sir!

We weren’t happy with the long black fender. Stainless triples, that wide are impossible to come by in a timely manner, so we created something cool to add some bling while using colored fenders.
The original thought was another plate like the steps with ball milling in the rear which ultimately evolved into the step strips which are even cooler… just enough polished presence.

cj222 outstanding work there dude! I really, really like how on this trailer and the other Schiada boat trailers you have built (seen here on RDP) the boats sit flat/level rather than nose up like a lot I’ve seen……mine included. Great craftsmanship 👍🏻!!
