Man there’s a lot of doom and gloom on here! Step away from the keyboard and go enjoy life! Put almost 40 miles on after work today. Clear skies, no wind, great times…. The world hasn’t stopped folks……

Where abouts is this?

Mann I need to get out to some other lakes. Between a few of the threads recently along with RD's vacation thread. There is so much more to see then just az..

Which boat from your fleet is that?
F14 helped me move front seats back & out toward the gunnels in our lil shitbox 17' Checkmate. Need more aluminum plate to put on floor to "solve" the soft spots for now.

That is a 1974 Hondo Mini Day Cruiser. I owned it for 10 years, put 1000s of miles on it, and then sold it to a buddy 3 years back, and he's done absolutely nothing with it so I bought it back and am back to the good ol low stress river cruising! Its a shit box, but runs great, I don't care if it get dirty, I store it outside at our marina where the private launch is. The farthest it goes on the trailer is 1/4 mile down the road to the fuel station.

I didn't tell the girls that I bought it back and a couple weekends ago we came to town to "borrow" it and do river crimes for the day. At the end of the day I loaded it and was parking it at the marina lot and Christa says "aren't you going to take it back to Brian"...... gig is up....... "nope, I bought it back"....... Long stare, big smile, "I love this boat, I am happy about that"......... Dodged a bullet there!!! LOL

This stretch is between Salem Oregon and Independence Oregon that we run a couple times a week. If you know the river and own a jet boat there is about 100 miles of navigable river in this area. We typically run about 20 miles each way to from our launch to where we hang out.

"Soft Spots", reminded me of riding in my buddy's dad's 16' 1969 or 70 Cheetah Jet Boat. 1st Jet Boat I'd ever been in and I was coming from growing up with Chris Crafts under my ass. I'm sitting in the back seat and every time we'd hit a wake my knees were damn near hitting me in the chin from the bottom flexing so radically.
Shortly thereafter I met Bob Burns at a dock party and I just had to ask WTF was up with that shit --- he laughed, then blew me off with "Oh, that's my patented "Flexi-Bottom". Years later when I got my first soft-bottom Zodiac I thought of Bob and his Flexi-Bottom. 🤣
Oddly, over 50 years later than boat still survives with the original owner's son up in Oregon, albeit seeing mostly smooth water, and the still Flexing bottom hasn't fallen out of it yet. 👍

That's the owner If the company i work for, on the skis. He is 71. He now has me looking for a different boat for him, he got to surf a couple weeks ago in shasta now he thinks he need one. The boat I'm towing him behind is his 4cyl bayliner and it doesn't like to pull up a single ski very well and he thinks he likes the surfing better..🤦‍♂️🤣
