My only communication with Paul before today was on the boat forums. So, this morning I'm walking around snappin pics at the Wings and Wheels cars & coffee at Cable airport and one of the hangar doors right behind the show opens up. Out comes a red stunt plane. The owner jumps in and fires it up looking like he's going for a Sunday drive. Well, it is Sunday...:)

He soon disappears into the heavens, and I go about my day feeling like more of a loser than normal. lol

After a while, he returns and makes a low pass or two.

After he got back to the hangar, I thought I'd show him the photo I snapped. Approaching him, he seemed vaguely familiar in appearance. He gave me his e-mail to send the photo and boom It hit me! This dude is Bullhead Bully Paul! I'm such an idiot!

After a short chat and a laugh I tell Paul I saw another plane fueling up that looked like his but blue. He say's "That's my brother" I'm like what? So we stepped out to get some pics of him too. How bad ass is that!? These guys are livin life to it's fullest!

A few minutes later we're all hangin out talkin boats! Too cool and a small world right?

Thanks Paul for the hospitality and nice meeting you and your brother in person. Thanks for offering my boy a ride in the plane (after my shameless solicitation). Can't wait to see that! Cheers!

I loved that show when I lived out there! Cable is a great little airport, and where I used to buy LL100 for my boat. (When I was a youngster, Bracket was the Friday afternoon stop for weekend fuckery)

Cool you got a chance to meet Bully and see the plane up close! Some neat stuff in those hangers up there!

When you raise the adrenaline level to this point performance Boat’s don’t come close. Only Pontoons at this point. Something fast on the water is on the horizon but not a priority.

That's pretty cool.
Paul’s as normal as they get. Absolutely zero attitude regardless of what’s he’s worked so hard to achieve. He’d give you the shirt off his back if needed
Thanks John but Normal ! 😂 I strive to be not normal. Normal is boring.

Running twin outboards was cool for so many years and then became normal. ( which we knew was going to happen 15 years ago )

Now they are everywhere as common as a Poonton or Prius 😝

Aerobatics will never be normal or boring. It’s one of the only things you can do truly unlimited and not break any laws.

Practice in the right area and you can do anything you want in that airspace.

I'm sure it's nowhere close to what you do, but I went on one of those "fighter combat" classes many years ago, where I was in an aerobatic plane with an instructor. The instructor controlled everything, but I had the stick during the "dog fight" sessions to control turns, etc It amazed me that I felt the most comfortable when the plane was heading straight into the ground, but that helped me get my bearings after being disoriented from doing loops, etc.

I felt seasick the entire day after I did this. I'm glad I did I, and have a lot of respect for the aerobatic pilots. It's a huge rush.

We literally were talkin about this yesterday, we were enjoying our day by the pool, and this airplane above us was doing a bunch of aerobatics, loops, stalls, barrel rolls, etc.....just going around and around for quite a while giving us our own private airshow...we were talking amongst ourselves wondering if that is legal, like can you just hop into your plane, find an airspace, and just fk around in it...

No, the fighter combat stuff is pretty awesome! They actually use the Extra aircraft as well. Great pilots super cool experience.

Yep it’s legal and most people don’t understand that. When someone comes thundering in at 7 o’clock Sunday morning and it’s echoing off the mountains.

The libtards have a field day 😂

But you know what we say about that. Lol. 🤣😝
