Although I like the idea it still won’t matter. It would take an overwhelming majority of people voting outside of party lines in at least 5 major districts or for the Supreme Court to declare liberalism a mental illness and disqualify all democratic votes in order to turn the state. It’s doubtful that either of those things are going to happen so just accept that Republicans are disenfranchised voters in California but the weather is nice.

FYI; the law was written to target the City of Huntington Beach since they voted to require ID for all municipal elections. Newsom is continually suing HB, F HIM. They explained I would be able to vote, they could not deny me from doing so, but I had to complete a provisional ballot. They also said the provisional ballot is a new registration. I told them I wanted my old voting record left intact, but they said that's the best they could do.

Later. I checked with Secretary of State website to make sure my vote was counted, and it was - but I don't know under which registration - my new one, or the old one.

So I believe you can show up without ID, but your vote will only be counted if it matches your CDL info/signature.
