Holy crap man. They sure have crunched up a lot of cars in two events already. :(

Been watching and enjoying the race action. The no prep racing is some serious racing and takes some huge balls. Amazing to see how fast these cars are. We went to the Street Car Super Nationals Race last November in Vegas and it was shocking to see these cars doing the 1/8 mile in 4.0 seconds and 160-180 mph on a 8-10 inch tire.

How long do you say it takes them to get through all 32 racers? Sure seems like they start early AM and end it awfully late at night. The crowds look pretty small by the end.:(

If there is a serious crash it can cause a delay of as much as 1.5 hours. Especially if fluids are spilled on the track. When the track gets cold it's all about horsepower management. The car with the most power doesn't always win. So far I enjoy this show more than Street Outlaws.

Started watching street outlaws last season and got hooked. I’m liking the noprep kings version of it, and you’re right about destroying a few cars the last couple of weeks. Damn!$$$

I notice that him and Sean were not even in the first round of the last event that was on the show. I guess they invite different people to each event?

Is that cuz they were both 1st round losers in the first one?...lol I would hope it's not the same 32 each week.

I don't believe so. I thought I paused it at the beginning of the show and did not see their names when the 32 person chart came up. Wednesday's episode was basically the start of the 2nd round.

Birdman was not in the first race at all and neither was Lizzy Musi. So certainly they are moving people in and out of the events.

I agree, if the circus rolls into another town with the same act week after week the show will become stale. I hope that's not the case or I'll be looking for a new circus to watch...

I doubt it too, I was just making a funny.[emoji16]
.
I was glad to see a good number of different cars in the 2nd event, otherwise I think it would get monotonous.

I suspect the producers are dialing back on Chief and Shaun. I'm enjoying seeing new faces and cars in the No Prep series.

Next week's show comes from San Antonio. I was at that race and it didn't get completed because of time and weather. The weather sucked all weekend.

I didnt like Chuck in the early seasons but now he seems like a cool guy. Where Chief is going the opposite direction. No Daddy Dave at the 2nd round either.

Ditto, same for me. Chief looks like a damn monkey struttin' around shrugging his shoulders yelling "what". :p:D:D
Sure seems like Ryan Martin is a level headed dude.

My SiL (Ken JO Kelley) is racing in this series although he's been having a lot of trouble with the car he's running. He wrecked his original car, ran his backup in the Memphis race, and has switched to a car he bought that has had motor issues. He'll be running the 3rd car this weekend again in Tulsa. The show is a couple months behind the actual races......My daughter won't let him run his new high dollar ProMod he debuted in GA last month. To much chance of tearing it up on the unprepped surfaces. He's wrecked 2 cars trying to get the HP/traction stuff figured out leading up to the series.

The series ran in NC last week and SC 2 weeks prior.

They have so far drawn big crowds for the small venue tracks they pick. Spectators are treating these guys like big time NHRA racers lots of attention. The field changes each week as there is a lot of time and travel involved. Kye K has not been back since the Memphis "tree issue" and is sour on the situation. Birdman got caught sleeping at the line and lost last week which has him whining on FB. He wants to make that the driver that beat him was "coached" on how to anticipate the green and that is why he got taken out of the hole.....Comical in that is the whole idea.:D

From what I have from reliable sources is Big Chief and the network aren't getting along due to a bad habit the money folks do not want around. He very well is done.

The network jams outgoing signals to keep race footage from being aired and the drivers are expected to keep things hush hush about results as best as possible.

An earlier race before he crashed the Army Car

The last run of the Army Car

First runs of the "ShowMOd" he'd like to run. He got this car down the tack in 3.9 @ 197 on it's 4th or 5th pass. He'll be running it for it's second race in a couplew weeks in GA

"Mad Man" Frankie Taylor in his legendary Pro Mod. Frankie has been trying to tame down a car for No Prep, but so far hasn't gotten there. If you ever hear that name coming to a track near you, go see the Mad Man as he puts on a helluva show in the 1/8 format

The Prom Mods running drag radials. SiL's first time out in his new car. Not quite there for Stevie "Fast" and Keith Haney this time. Gonna be interesting next race in couple weeks though.....

I have been mowing it over about building something to compete . Just don’t know about the traveling. It would be cool to do a west coast, midwest, east coast thing.

As a podcast listener of their show i absolutely enjoyed those two specially Shaun, but with the wide open of their podcast you could kinda see things changing and i really hope Big Chief gets his shit together before it is too late. I always enjoyed the show SO405 but the podcast was what kept it even above.
In my opinion it this shit goes on but without Chief well it will be solely of his own making and will suck but can’t force him to keep away from the party smack.

What’s “no prep” mean?
As mentioned, the track is as it is when racers arrive. Also, cars run right off the trailer with no qualifying. They do run call out/challenge races prior to the 32 draw. These enable them to get a feel at least for the track condition.

Talked to my daughter earlier and the concern in Tulsa today is the track is pretty "sticky" which favors the higher HP cars. SiL won first round. Chuck is out as his car would not start, Ryan blew his motor and has changed it out for rd 2, and Birdman blew his transmission which he to, changed for rd 2.

I always liked Shaun and got a kick out of Chief. But my grandson says both are the most arrogant of the bunch. They have lost friendships with other racers they were close to in the past before the glory went top their heads.

Another reason Chief isn't racing is he thought he should be paid to appear. Network said nope.......

Cheif taking the Lindsey Lohan route, eh.
His arrogance was very evident last season.....and prominately displayed in Vegas when there to meet Richard Rawlings about megarace 2.
