This just went on the market out here. No shop, but has plenty of room for one. The previous owner had a landscaping business. Unfortunately, a bit over a year ago, he was murdered...in the house. I don't know if that has to be divulged, but it was big news here. He was a well known and very nice guy. It will probably go to an out of state buyer, as most have in this area.

It's been all redone inside, stripped to the studs. It was sad to see his Trump and American flags come down, and sadder to see the cross in his front yard loaded in a pickup the other day.

If you aren't creeped out by the whole murder and death thing, pretty nice house.

Nice house. I have one coming up to rehab before listing. On walk through there was a blanket on the carpet. Realtor was yeah thats where She died. They found her 3 months later. Not sure how it will look under the blanket. But I think we are replacing the carpet with vinyl plank.

Does not have to be disclosed, in AZ
Well, I could see Grant being a jokester in the afterlife, but I could see him messing with people that were mean to kids and animals.

Guess it depends on what you believe. It will be interesting to see how it progresses in the future, who moves in and who stays.

Years back wife and I went and looked at a place going in a probate auction (the two Chinese rollers bid it to the moon) The old lady lived there alone, ranch house with a mail slot in the door. Nobody noticed until spring, when they saw the lawn getting tall, as in over 2ft! She'd been dead for months.

There was a really weird, big stain on the linoleum in the kitchen. No smell, it had been well over a year. The place was an early 50's time warp.

House was leveled, and lot sat vacant for years. Well, then something changed with zoning, and a few years back I was turned into a flag lot, with 3 homes.

Did they find out who murdered him and why? Customer?
Well, not provable at this point. Still an open case, but it was personal. At least one raid on his own son's house. He had a bad drug problem at the time. Another friend he had staying with him weeks before was located and questioned. All his customers and employees seemed to love him. His son immediately took over the business, but it folded real quick. I've heard son owed suppliers as of a few months ago.

Grant was shot in his bed, then they tried to torch the room, but shut the door, so it didn't spread. Major smoke damage, and smelled, well, like death. That's why everything is new inside. F'd up deal.

Actually its a decent price at 297 square foot and 10 acres. I could live there.

His company was "New Life Landscapes"...I would have thought with all the redo, they'd have sprung for a new mat  Price wise, it seems comparable to others of that type out here, but this on has a bigger lot.
I’d be that asshole that brought brownies and beer over to my new neighbors and ask if they knew the poor guy that got slaughtered in their lovely new home…

👀
Well, I'm sure someone will let them know. It was a pretty big deal out here. At least it wasn't some Heaven's Gate deal, or the house up the street from my parent's, where a guy dressed as Santa killed a bunch of people.

Those were my friends who were killed. We had just returned from a 3 day jeep trip from Baker to Laughlin a week prior.

Sorry for your loss !

It’s Nice place!
Needs a big Ol Barn out back.

A couple things are a little funky w/ the layout

not a fan of the sliding closet pantry doors in the kitchen, that should have been reworked better - looks like a closet!
The pony wall between dining and living
Pass thru Arched wall going out to that tile room - looks like they infilled the old patio and made a room addition…
A few other things….

Has great potential - I like it

Did they ever catch who killed him?

Meh, people die all the time....mostly in houses. I don't care...I wouldn't eliminate from my list because of that.
Same with hotel rooms(a lot of suicides)..if you have stayed at a hotel room more than likely someone has died in it.

Thats a big no go for me.....

The previous owner in the place I just bought died of a heart attack but a neighbor told me he did on the way to the hospital.

Me.....I have no desire to get a place where people have died in. You may never know though.....but if I know its a deal breaker.

My agency did the eviction on the heavens gate house. Somehow they fell behind on payments 😂

We started the process and then on eviction day the Sheriff wouldn't do the lockout because in between here and there, the city had changed the name of the street and the old street name was still on the paperwork. We had pictures of all the empty beds, everything.

My FIL hung himself in the garage. It doesn't bother any of us. In fact, that's where I'm typing from.
