Heading out Wednesday with the wife for a couple days to New York, staying in Time Square. Already planned a couple of tours and Sunday to see Lion King on Broadway.

You guys are brave! Just the timing, that's all. I'd hit the Statue of Liberty to see the manifests with my great-grandparents on it. The Museum of Natural History would also be high on my list, along with the original Grimaldi's Pizza.

Arthur Ave in the Bronx for Italian. Seeing the city from the water is a unique perspective most don't get and highly worth it.

If your first time, a Circle Line Tour helps get the perspective. I'd suggest the "best of NYC".

Lots to do in the city. Tons of great museums and art facilities.

A Stroll through Central Park is nice.

The Central Park Zoo is neat and only 20 bucks. The best unknown deal in NYC.

Every type of restaurant known to man with great ones down every back street.

You can't miss there, nor can you run out of things to do.

The info on what you like is limited……

From Times Square:

You can easily walk to Central Park. If you do, go to Columbus Circle, it’s fun to watch the street performers.

You will see pizza everywhere. Mainly Rays Pizza. It’s is fantastic. But if you want a FIVE STAR sandwich, you can walk to Katz Deli, it in the TS area.

You can take the train to the 911 Memorial. On the way back, get off at Canal Street. This is where all the knock-off products are. It’s crowded and fun.

We normally have dinner at a rooftop bar/restaurant in midtown. If you need a recommendation, let me know. I’ve been to a few, each with there own style and ambience.

It’s just a fun place to be. I love the feeling of being in Gotham City (Batman). It’s mesmerizing.

You might also want to go to “The Top of the Rock”. This is at the top of Rockefeller Center. SNL is filmed there too!

McSorleys Old Ale House is a freaking must! Established 1854 and not much has changed inside. You can get to kinds of drinks there, dark or light beer. Be cool with the bartenders and they’ll give you all kinds of history, and may even pull out a chunk of Tower 2 for you to hold. Fireman on 9/11 would stop in for a beer and then back to the pile to work. One fireman left his helmet on the bar and walked straight to the recruiters office. Awesome place and a must see.

Also Keens Chophouse established 1885. Have a steak or mutton chop in the same restaurant as Abraham Lincoln and many other historical greats.

The whisper wall in Grand Central Station is pretty wild.

We went several years ago. I'm the guy in the green shirt to the left of the stage. Got a hug from Diane Sawyer also. Did a walk thru of Sat. Night Live stag. Walked side by side with Doctor Phil in the GE building. Didn't say a word to him(dork), kept turning and checking out my wife.

We went in 2007 for Halloween. It was nuts.
We used the subway to get around. That was a trip. Town car to and from the airport was the best deal.
Central Park, check out were John Lennon was shot, some cool restaurants in that area. Cocktail 🍸 at grand central station. Cocktail at CBGBs. China Town was crazy. Thought for sure we were going to get mugged cruising in to secret rooms to check out fake purses, watches and sunglasses. It was an experience.
Hudson River boat ride deal. I want to say it was free in 09.
Little Italy was cool for a night of cocktails, apps and dinner at different spots. Library, natural history museum
and grand central station are all walking distance from Times Square.
Wear comfortable shoes. We walked a ton and just checked out the cool architecture we don't see on the west side of the country.
We went and saw a taping of David Letterman. They put us in the front because my wife's smoking hot.

When I still lived in the old country of mine, New York always was a plan to visit one day. That was back in the 60's. I left in 1970,
We're approaching 2025 and I have no desire to go there anytime soon, lol. Wife and my son plan to go to NY this December to visit the Smithsonian Museums. I'm staying home to sit our cat and my son's dog, good company to have and relax.:p

Other than the departure line at the air port-

The Intrepid carrier and the Circle line.

If ya want to come over to Brooklyn, my wife has some good suggestions.

My wife and I have been to the city twice. The one thing we’ve done both times and said we would do everytime we went back was the 9/11 museum. probably the most amazing and moving thing I have ever seen.

And go to Katz deli. It will change your life and clog your arteries, I never knew pastrami like that existed.

Wednesday night dinner is planned.
Dude just hear me out.

the last time we went we did Katz like the 2nd day we were there. The day of our flight home, we had time before we had to head to the airport. We jumped on the subway and hit it one more time before we left. That’s how good it is.

And get a 7 day metro pass and learn the subway system. not only will it pay for itself but you can go from one end of the island to the other.

If you’re into Asian food, Xian famous food is a must. I get the NS2. Hands down my favorite dish I’ve ever had anywhere.

Can’t miss the 9/11 memorial and museum.

This place is endless. So much to see, Subway is a little challenging it all part of the adventure. Trump Tower was really cool. China town for dinner and Coney Island was quiet because it’s off season. 20,000 steps. And we do again tomorrow.
