Can’t let Vic have all the fun this week. Brother and friends made last minute plans (a few weeks ago) to camp at Pirates for New Years. Easy drive for me, about 2 hours. We’ll ride around here. Might trailer across the river on New Years and ride to the bunker bar or something. I still have to convince the group of that.

Awesome, enjoy! We have done a few New Years trips at Pirates and always had a good time. Its nice having full hook ups after a long day of driving in the dust.

The restaurant/bar used to do an east coast New Years party and have a dedicated kids zone so the adults could have fun. Not sure if they still do any of it.

So I drove back home on Monday morning and worked Monday and Tuesday, arriving back at camp at nightfall last night. A very mellow New Year’s Eve for us. All asleep by 10. Didn’t get woken up by any other camps. All slept in this morning. We’ll do some breakfast and get a ride going.

If you are looking for a destination, Oatman is always a good time.
There is supposed to be a ride out to the Havasu Landing as well but I have yet to do it.

Every dad heard that question, “Dad, can I ride YOUR dirtbike?”
Today I said try it.

He rode it for 10+ minutes without any problems until I told him to park it

Too big for a really small 11 year old?
This one has a “training” clutch, so it is meant for learning and younger riders, but it would probably be dependent on the kid and the type of riding. I’ve never owned a quad myself, so not too sure. My son and I were the ones on dirt bikes.

Naw 250 will be fine, you can limit throttle if you want. He can learn and grow w quad and then step up later.
suzuki and Honda have semi auto clutches, meaning he doesn’t need to do clutch. Yamaha has regular clutch, more of a riders bike to grow with.
