So after some upgrades we have some stuff.

In no particular order:


1) Push notifications - Will allow the site to send a notification to your phone whenever you get an alert. When you visit the site it will ask if you wish to enable push notifications. You can also do this at https://www.riverdavesplace.com/forums/account/preferences

2) PWA (App) for android users - Open the hamburger menu at the top left of your screen on any android device and click the install app button.

Apple users can suck it. Why? Because apple likes to be different so dont support PWA like the rest of the civilized world.

3) Advanced page caching for non-logged in users, so attacks like over the last few days will be considerably less effective.

4) Profile banners - Open up your profile page and click the "edit profile banner button" to upload a sexy picture of your favorite toy. Eg https://www.riverdavesplace.com/forums/members/admin-dude.1/ (and before anyone asks, yes it is mine).

5) Less sex chat spam.

6) Changes to the text editor to be more mobile friendly.

7) Activity summary emails - If you are worried you might miss something important when you go on holiday, dont worry, the forum will drop you an email with the most active threads and catch you up.

8) Various other improvements.

Phone was unlocked … now I’m pre-paid at $35/ month w/ Verizon 15 GB/month… last month I had 85% left at the end of my billing cycle. Plus I’ll take that $1700 / year savings thank you very much ! …. So I’m Kosher w/ being a ghetto ass.

PS Thnx to those here who gave me advice on pre-paid options earlier this year, much appreciated.

All Jokes aside...the att prepaid is the best deal ever...I buy phones outright anyway. I think I made the switch in like 2017 w a "unlimited" data plan. No difference in service..and no real issues.

My friends with droids are seemingly in a constant learning challenge to operate their phones. Never can they say “hey look at this picture” and hand it to me. Nope.
Usually they can’t even find it and if they do it quickly vanishes.
Then again, their primary reason for having a smart phone is to Facebook 23 hours a day!

I never buy the latest gizmo.
I just upgraded my 7 to an 11 because the 11 was cheap compared to the 3 different 12’s with mega camera shit that I won’t use.
Now they have a 13 out.

I went from a 4 to a 5 to a 7 to an 11.
Pretty sure my next one will be at least a 15 or higher. Lol

Ive never once been in an Apple store, I have been in an ATT (my carrier) store a total of 4 times in my life. Each time to buy or activate a new IPhone. Ive only had iphones for about 15 years now. NOT ONCE have I needed any help from any geek.

What I have learned from this thread is that a LOT of people have no idea how to correctly handle their devices be it android or Apple.
It’s painful to read truthfully.

Like when I see a persons phone with 6 pages of apps and not a folder in sight.
Or complaining about battery hours with 52 apps running in the background...every one of them pinging location 24/7.
