New Life vest laws??

I have herd some talk regarding a new law stating all riders must wear a life vest on all boats 25' and under,in Pine flat lake and Lake Mead. Apparently this is a test being composed by the army corps of engineers, any violators will be fined $175. Any body have any information on this topic or How long until this effects us that boat in Havi, Parker,lower river, ETC.

Trial at pine flat until Oct 1. The worst part is if the Army Corp decides to move forward for all water ways they oversee (all Colorado river lakes, etc) they can implement it without any kind of vote, etc. Only government agency that can implement rules without public vote.

In my late Boat US magazine it had an article on this and who to contact. I will try to remember to pull out the mag and post who we need to bitch at.
