We currently have 4 seater 36v. ez go. its getting a little long in the tooth and we could use the extra room so I been thinking about picking up a new 6 seater from Premiere. My question is does anyone have any experience with the new 56v Lithium set-up vs the 72v. lead acid standard battery? The Lithium come with a 8 year warranty. Im sure those batteries as crazy expensive when out of warranty. No I dont believe we want a gas one either. With the limited amount of use I'd end up continually draining bad gas and gummed up carb's.- Thanks

If you get something new, I might be interested in your old cart!

Buddy just picked up a 72v Lithium 6 passenger. They're fast and torquey. If you buy a brand new one, the updated seats now and the cool built in cooler in the rear fold down area are pretty slick. I also like how the rear foot rest / step can fold up if you need to fit it into a tight spot. Things are nice no doubt.

We have a gas 6 seater out at the river. We only put AV gas in it. No issues.

Lemme know if you need a test drive.

I just bought a brand new 72v EzGo Express...I could have went with the 56v Lithium option for right around the same price, but the dealer said at the end of the day the 72v is a better cart, said the Lithium batteries will last twice as long but cost about 3 times more to replace...I went in their with my mind set on the Lithium but walked out with the 72v one....72v with AC motor, slight tweak of the controller and it does 24mph everywhere, once its out of warranty the shop says we can get 35mph or so out of it, if wanted.

look up bob Boyce on the BGW forum when you’re ready. He is the mad scientist with the ezgo’s. Our 6 seat RXV does close to 35 now. I’ve heard he can get the 72v touching 45 if you’re crazy enough

Yeah I have spoke to Bob through the forum, unfortunately on the 72v, the adjustment has to be done in the cart, cant send him the controller only like you can with the RXV, and he refuses to come to California, and usually only goes about west to Texas, although I believe he has done some trips to Arizona, I just dont have it in me to load the cart up and drive a few states over. I do hear he does amazing work though.

We just picked up a new club car onward. It’s a gas motor that’s fuel injected. With the zip tie around the governing spring it does 31 mph.

We had a 2014 ezgo 6 seater and it was super tight inside. This thing has storage and room for days.

Damn, nice! Hadn't seen a brand new CC yet.

Be careful opening up the governor all the way on these little motors. They like to float the valve springs and eventually will seize the motor. Ask me how I know 🤦‍♂️ You can hear the valve springs tapping if you're running it too hard with the governor wide open. On our 2018 EZGO 6 pas. we pushed the governor back to about 3/4. Runs 23mph. No valve spring noise. 👍

I have a Gas Yamaha that I keep at the airport. I only put AV Gas in it. AV Gas has a 2-3 year shelf life and never gums or varnishes up a carb.
Gas is by far the better choice.

Good luck when that motor locks up....dealer said they have them come in all the time because of this exact reason.

My wife has a brand new onward electric, it’s 48 V, it hauls ass and we literally only charge it about once a week, she got the high output motor and it runs 21 mph literally seems like it goes forever without needing a charge. The people that bought our house also one of the car so we sold it to them after we closed escrow and she has ordered another one to replace it, this time she got the factory lift kit so the warranty is not voided when you put an aftermarket lift on it and with the factory lift you get the high output motor which gives you three more miles per hour.

And I know nobody finances things on this forum, but if a friend of yours might ask, they currently have 0% financing on them so why not use somebody else’s money instead of your own.

Fully aware of the risk. I ran my ezgo bouncing off the rev limiter 2 years straight with zero issue.

If this motor lets go I’ll swap in the Honda 24hp motor.
