He said $1850 on other site. More than the shop quotes I have seen. I need a new cover and have been pricing them out. They sure have gone up $$$.If you don’t mind what was the bill on that?
Yea insanely, one in Havasu I’m most likely going to do is custom snug with a soft interior and waterproof exterior with two air vents for the same 1800$ but I’m only 24’He said $1850 on other site. If it has the soft towable liner disregard the price comparison. That makes a big difference on price. I was pricing regular cover non towable. And single color that stripe looks sharp.I kinda thought it wasnt a bad price considering other ones I saw going for $1500 that weren’t towable, single color and weren’t made to fit exact

She rushed this full tow cover (soft inside) for my 28' Howard Bullet the week after Desert Storm
$1,800. Excellent service and quality
We towed across the desert on I-40 to our home in So Cal with very gusty side and headwinds. Cover didn't move.
No pattern. Although she saw my old cover on my boat, she spent a couple hours measuring/fitting the new material to the boat. I then picked the boat up and used it for a couple of days while she sewed the new cover. I brought the boat back a couple of days later and left it overnight for her to fine tune the fit. Picked it up the morning we were leaving town for the drive back home. Those are really nice covers. I am going to need a new cover soon. Did you take your boat to Toni in havasu to copy it or do they have a pattern
Yes, double stitched and reinforced in "vulnerable" areas (ie sharp corners over the windscreens, at the transom , etc). I don't have the name of the material but it has a 7 year warranty (I think my previous cover had a 3 year one). The underside is soft and fuzzy. I would never tow with a regular cover, but since we tow 6 hours from our home in SoCal across the desert to Havasu and Mead, or to the Delta or Tahoe, we have always used a purpose-specific tow cover with a soft lining. The trick is to make sure it is tight fitting with adequate straps so the cover doesn't billow or rub, even with the soft lining. This cover is longer than our previous one as it goes under the chine so the straps don't have an opportunity to rub along the gelcoat. I was very pleased that even while towing at 55 MPH (!!!?) with gusty sidewinds on I-40, I couldn't see any cover movement. Another advantage of using a quality tow cover is obviously keeping out the dust, but also the boat being "secure" if we stop at a restaurant enroute. This cover is "waterproof" and doesn't breath, which is OK for our towing purposes as we have a breathable nylon dust cover we put on it when we get home and tuck the boat in our garage. If you were using this as a storage cover, she would put vents on it to allow air circulation.what material is that? double stitched? what is the interior surfacing?
my Howard needs a cover as well......Thanks!

right on man, thank you for the info. I really like the tight, sleek look of that cover. Howard lines probably help a bit too.....
Is that the red and grey checkered gel Bullet?

did you have to slip the cover on the front while you still had it on the launch ramp? I see how it goes between the roller and the bow. curious as to how that works and if its a pain in the ass at all, or theres a design feature we can't see here. thank you
