Well, since nobody wants my piece of shit nottaschiadda, I’m gonna redo the interior. What do you think it should cost for all new teak floors, new subflooring, new snap in carpet front and back and new vinyl everywhere?

First quote I got was $30-40,000 estimated. Riverside dude said too big for his shop and nobody else will call me back.

Not sure if KMG would do it but try giving them a call. I talked to them yesterday and they said 3-4 weeks max on my small boat. Which seems great to me. Will be dropping mine off in feb.

lol. Kevin is the quote stated. Waiting on a quote from Cobra but they sound promising and will call Andrew at ICB and Mike at Conquest too. Looking to copy exactly what I have and keep it looking original.

What was a ballpark on the 22? I’m thinking about taking ours there as well

I'd think the Teak is the issue for a bunch of guys. I would reach out to Ron Lund for the woodwork. He is a hardcore high end cabinet maker, builds boats, excellent woodworker and I think he may be interested in that part of the project. I have an inexpensive guy in Escondido that can do the vinyl, but he's not specialty type that does the new crazy cool stuff. He is the replacement type of guy that will redo the interior they was it was with some modification. Very affordable though.

Martinez will do it all, but most likely will be in the 30k range too.

Pretty sure @FROGMAN524 wants to use his boat next summer.

All solid shops based on interior photos posted. I would call @Tony DCB Boats and see if they are taking on projects.
KMG quote is solid. Cobra and ICB will be 10-15% less when I was getting quotes. DCB will be more, but they are local to you! Local makes checking in easier and avoids the tow. That is worth money IMO.

I need to get the floor redone in my Eliminator Eagle 25 plus new carpet, any suggestions? I will gut the interior and reinstall myself.

I’ll tow it to Montclair or Havasu for $5-15,000 savings. I talked to Tony and the shop, neither had their interior guy get back to me which is fine, I’m sure they’re backed up with 30 builds at $750,000+ each.

I’d call Jerry but I already know that he’s got bigger things going on and don’t want to be a bother. Nordic doesn’t have time, every time I talked to production department.

How much wear can there be in three years? Interior and floors were near perfect when you bought it.

I wanted a new boat, but can’t sell this one, so will make this one new.

One of the 5 JL amps went out last season so replaced the entire system with all the best for a cool $25,000 at Ron’s in August.

End of the day the vinyl is 17 years old, maybe 18 depending on original production date.

Reach out to Tony again at DCB. He will fit you in and get it done right.

You’d be better off discounting your boat half the cost of what you are gonna spend on the interior, and put the other half towards a new boat when it sells.

Lou has the knowledge and space for these kinna projects. He's helping me redo my toon completely right now.

Lots of guys on here know his work.

Then the new boat would be worth half in 3 years. It’s a lose lose anyway you go. Might as well light my money on fire.

That’s why you buy a new to you used boat.
I’d consider it but apparently there’s not even one single Hallett 285 2.0 available for sale in this dimension or universe. If I could find one like this for sale again, I’d find a way to make a deal on it.

You know one will inevitably pop up for sale while your boat is in the interior shop.

Advantage has a pretty solid interior department that makes nice stuff. Obviously they are the OEM manufacturer of my boat, however a lot of people don’t understand the level of anal that I am about specific things… If I have a seat with so much is a nic in it, it’s getting fixed immediately. Obviously they have an advantage no pun intended because they are the manufacturer of my boat but everything I’ve taken them in the last three years has turned out great. I know other people with a variety of different boats have went through them for similar services and are not disappointed. I’d skip the sales staff and go directly to Scott and discuss it with him…

Did you give kyle at WOT Marine in oceanside a call? He does gel and fiberglass work now and has a really good guy working for him. Not sure if he does all the things you are looking for but I would definitely give him a call just to see what he says

WOT is in Vista.
Does gel and fiberglass work, but outsources interior to a couple different shops already mentioned (KMG & Riverside).
Have known and used Kyle since he opened his original shop in 2009.

Water heater at my last house, 50 gallon gas unit, was $1,500 installed by my friend who is a plumber. Some companies are as high as $2,500

How about DCB?
I called DCB 3 months back two times about getting them to redo interior in my boat never even got a call back. Figured I would at least get a call back, even if it was to say we can’t do it.

I’d have Travis Barron do the floors.. the interior there are several shops in havasu including Arko that I’d consider.

Fack I remember trying to get the interior done in my Elim 3-4 years ago. It was nearly impossible to get someone to actually commit to the job.

Side note, is Fear still doing stuff? He had just left Elim when I talked to him.

For 40k there’s someone that will commit….

Think he was working at Barron for a bit. Not sure if he’s still there.

If you spent 25k on a new stereo I would think 30-40k for a whole new interior plus teak floors would be reasonable.

Travis just did my floors and carpet. Came out perfect.

Conquest (was Arko?) did some of my interior and was great, on time, and reasonable.

At what point do we say our boats aren’t worth enough to recover that investment? I’m assuming I’ll boat for maybe a couple more years and that money may only recoup maybe 50%.
