Did the customer change up the graphics or is this a different boat?

Yes, there were some additional mods to the scheme after the above rendering...I understand there's also some additional top deck mods coming...tanks are in and bulkheads fitted...should be out on the rigging line early next week.

Has there been a 27 Speedster built with outboards?

That is the boat I wanted before I re did the dcb. I talked to Bob about doing it just was not ready to pull the trigger but it will be a possible future boat for me. I think it would look and run amazing.

You did a nice re-do on you DCB, btw...

We've gotten 3-4 requests for info on building a twin OB 27' Speedster. There might be some re-tooling needed but it would benefit all future builds.
I just sent off a rough estimate to Quebec, Canada. It would be a great Winter build and feature boat for the Feb/Mar Boat Shows.

The boat in post #7 was very close to the color of the 28 Speedster we had. I loved the color and always wished the green could be seen in the water. The boat was prettier on the trailer than on the water. Will buy another one someday. Hope they fully cap this one. :)

I believe yours was either #1 or #2 of the 28' Speedster line...:cool Your's had 496 power, correct?

First one coming out of the mold...yep, the green was buried under water...:grumble:

This also might have been yours, living the good life today on Shuswap Lake in BC, Canada...:cool

You guys should setup the batteries on this with this Braille race ones. The guy that bought my 27 retrofitted it and it is pretty custom / saves a ton of weight.

What advantages do the set-backs offer? Cleaner water to the props?

Setback is moving the cg to allow the boat to carry the bow with less trim and allows the boat to run flatter. Less trim is more efficient and equals more speed.

I get it, makes sense. Does it give the boat a loose feel with that much weight hanging off the back? I'm sur the boat runs great, just wondering if it feels as stable as a high HP with IO.

How does the boat plain with such a high "X"?

I was lucky enough to drive it toady. Thanks Bob !!! It ran great. It hit 100 very quickly on the rev limiters with 32 bravos. I see the boat getting close to 110 with 34s. Came on plane easily and took a nice set. Beautiful job thanks to all the guys at eliminator !!!!
