So I am getting the toy hauler logo’d up. Note I didn’t say wrapped because I don’t want a full wrap. I like it better when there’s just large logos where it makes a point but is still clean.

I didn’t give any clear direction on the first iterations other than I didn’t want to spend 4,000 on a wrap. Turns out version 1 is 4,000. Version 2 is 3,000. (Does that sound right? I thought something like V1 would be in the 2k range?).

Either way I’m only doing this once and neither of those really struck me as “what I want.”

So I called them back and asked for big logos no graphics.

They did exactly what I asked for but it still doesn’t look good. (Thst and just this vinyl is 2,100 bucks plus 500.00 for art?).

So I am hoping one of you graphics guys or photo shop guys or wrap guys can help me with some flare here and at least tell me if these prices are in the ball park?

Bare in mind needs to be done before next Wednesday so there’s gotta be some kinda upcharge for that as well. (I also already paid a 500.00 graphics deposit). I’m assuming the close time line is what’s hurting me here so I’m not bitching about it. I don’t quote wraps and the only reason I am asking is because this seems like
Double what my friends have paid in the past.

I didn’t get a pic of the front but I do have these pics to layout on. I also have all the vector files in emails ready to go etc.

I just want something “cleanly but makes the point that “rdp” is here when we roll in.

Sorry Dave, but for those designs and prices, I’d roll in next weekend and hang a couple banners then after spend some time figuring out exactly what you want and get a price you are comfortable with. That’s a lot of coin to spend on that trailer with a not so amazing design. I don’t see where the 1K difference comes from between 1 & 2?

#2 out of the choices so far, but I'd like black lettering than orange personally.

#1 is way to busy with large sections that do nothing for me, but raise the price of the wrap because of size.

Simple is always better IMO.

Square footage in vinyl. The graphics take up a lot more room.

I honestly just want some big logos. Like a giant rdp going up the side with the domain and then smaller W4S and Kicker

At least they only took a deposit for "artwork", I mean I know it does take some time to draw shit, but good internet designers could have whipped out those in 10 minutes.

Tell them to try again, with your feedback. That is what you are really paying for, is the 10x redo to make it what you want.....

Prices seem high? I was getting quotes in CA (LA surrounding areas) to get my 35’ motorhome fully wrapped for $4500

Version 2 to me looks the most clean. Just the logos looks too plain and white. I’ll see if my graphics friend has any time to draw something up... don’t know where he is at right now!

I think I saw a video of one of the companies you interviewed at the boat show that had the 3D registration numbers and logos. Just thinking out of the box?

Most places will only Re design so many times off of your 500 design fee, not endless
Costs are in line ish with what iv paid on wraps.
Haven’t done a trailer but on trucks when I used to do them was similar partial style wraps and was 1500-2000 range. Trailer is waaaay bigger then bed sides on trucks.

Let me guess Rod GW?
Design wise I’m not blown away with any of them ( I will say real life usually looks better then computer imaging ) but you may be holding them back design wise by saying you don’t want much and limited budget.
Truth gun held to my head and make choice I’d have to say 1 with some tweaks. To me it looks like glorified large boring stock rzr graphics. But if you left then drop front side .com to between windows below rdp. Maybe change scale on door side to fit .com between door and window .

Take the RDP logo, no graphics.
Make is twice the size and layout on a angle, go right over the windows.

Logos that are level and square will not pull the eye to it.

That’s about what I was thinking as well.

Lol. Not it’s not GW. My normal guy I use is way backed up so i am just trying someone new. They have done something’s for friends and they came out nice.

My normal guys I use for graphics and things like this know me and know what I like so they don’t need any input except for dial in.

Initial thought was we only use this thing for shows so make it match the ezup(s) Which are red black grey

That’s about what I was thinking as well.
Slant on the side. Flat on the back. Bold bright color with a outline that frames it without getting lost. Red/black. Orange/black.
RDP needs to be seen as you drive up behind from a long distance.
Once you get closer the www....will come clear

Dave, I’ve no idea on prices for a wrap?
To me it seems steep? but I’ve been told I work to cheap by some ;)

If this were a boat and the artwork presented to me, I prefer profile #1 and back door #2.
Not a fan of version 3 from a graphics that grab you standpoint.

Perhaps you need to get a quote and a version from another source?
Ask 10 people get 10 versions...
Perhaps just more input from you to the current crew or allow them to stretch their wings a little, from an artistic standpoint?

I like version 1. But move the rdp down from the top. It's to busy and just blends in.

Did I miss the system install on this? Or your getting them to help foot the bill on wrap, or your putting name on so they’re obligated to do system. Lol
Thank god you didn’t add SoCal pools, Dynamic air, and Palomar solar :p

Not impressed with any of the options except with Big B hova #2. However that one is probably not the look you are after.
Got to say, I would seriously consider stalling until after and do it right. If you rush this, we all know it will need to be redone within 18 months.

I agree....Huge graphics at an angle going from bottom rear of trailer across windows doors and everything up to the top front of the trailer with the sponsors set straight line off to the side. on the back I'd do one of the shirt photos you used like the Rocky Mountain shirt graphics or the graphics with the Von Dutch style pin stripping.

I also agree that's seems to be a GRIP of cash and it most likely would not behoove you to rush the job. AND I'm kinda surprised you didn't wheel and deal them with their sponsor logo on the trailer as well so you can basically get it for free. I mean, I know that's what I would've done!!! Win/win right there. That wrap company wont get better advertisement.

With those logos that is no longer a toy hauler, but a commercial trailer.

This ⬆️

If you think about the worlds most successful brands they have logos that are simple and instantly recognized.

RDP in your brands color is all you need to see from a distance. Add the url in simple script along the bottom.

Your brand color is red/black so I'd stick with that color wise. As for the graphics I agree with the guys saying the logo needs to be Yuuuuge and angled and over the windows.

I agree with Tom... I would do something like this, sorry not so good at photo-chop... As big as you can on the entry side then mirror on the other side. The sponsors going down the side next to the door. Then put the V-Drive logo from the beginning the videos on the tailgate... With the sponsors along the bottom.

Yeah, not impressed with the designs myself. I know a member here that could probably do a WAY better design for ya... (He whipped out the Team Naci logo for us and does a lot of killer work.

Send me over the logos, I will take a stab at it sometime today. The key to keeping the price down on the wrap is the overall square footage so if logo is whats important that make that a bit larger and scale the graphics do to be more of an accent.

That is pretty kick ass. I dig it YUUUUUUUGE. Then I'd do the www.riverdavesplace.com script in the top left corner in silver/grey and the sponsors down on the bottom right.
Or just do the www.riverdavesplace.com under the "RDP" at an angle. I think you need a sales catch phrase too though.

"Where boaters in the know go"
"When you can't go boating, you can still boat on RDP"
"Fast on the water, faster online"
"Your everything fast on the water information station"

Obviously not these but something like that, that will draw in those that don't know what RDP is but do boat. Believe it or not, there's a lot of boaters that don't visit boating sites, not because they don't want to but actually because they don't know about them. I was always amazed that there were still people across the country that didn't go onto OSO when it was in its height in the early / mid 2000's and actually weren't aware of it.
