Need home router recommendation for Havasu

Gents, need advice on best router to purchase for Havasu. I have Optimum cable and service is so shitty that it's losses signal all the time. Optimum is coming out Monday yet again to troubleshoot their side. Is there a router that I can reset through my phone when I have internet? Cylce the startup process when needed? I keep losing my Nest thermostat, sprinkler timer and garage AC. Really sucks to arrive to a hot house. Currently my Nest is offline and had maid keep house at 78 until I arrive Sat morning. That is expensive.

No advice on the router but I am happy that soon Allo will be in our area and we can dump Optium. Friend has had Allo for a few months and no issues at all.

We called Optimum last month to say we were switching to Allo. They said we'll come install a new 1 Gig router for the same price, $80. So they did, Speed test vary from high 700's to mid 900's , no complaints.

I cancelled them and went Allo been 5-6 months not 1 issue !! Everything works Fantastic!

Shitty Link has called me 10 times asking for a new hook up service…..

Have the guy climb the pole check all outside connections, run all new line !

It took me 3-4 months to get that done, turns out I had a bad connector - Got that replaced and things started to actually work Correctly.

call in and cancel service in like 2-3 weeks out tell em your doing a hot Spot or some BS story….

within 3-5 days they will call w/ an amazing deal !! You know, just for you my friend….

I had one lady ask me this is such a good deal why don’t you want to do it, after I cancelled their service

I haven’t had any problems with them after switching to the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 to replace the cable modem and WiFi router. Played all the games in CA too going back and forth from Fiber to Cable and back until I finally just bought a WiFi mesh system and now my internet works good with cable in Murrieta too. Pricing is high enough it might be time to switch again.

I must be lucky ?

We have optimum was suddenlink. We have the basic modem that they gave us. We have 4 smart TV's, 3 ring cameras. one Wyze camera and all the Pentair pool automation stuff linked up and we have had zero issues. I hope I don't curse myself.

We are on the south end of town, S Acoma and 95 I don't know if location matters ?

We were having problems in havasu and I cannot have that working from home...It was a defective piece of cable for us… Once they changed it we've never a problem since. It's cheaper for us to stay with optimum, so we are.

To echo others.. we r switching to allo sooner than later.

The router is the easiest part.. having internet. Optimum is the new frontier.. they r both junk

Starlink has a deal right now. Equipment was 499. On sale now for 299 and 120 a month. I used a friends last year as I got so tired of the wife bitching about the internet. $120 a month to shut her up about it is well worth it.

I buy netgear routers and wifi.
Can't remember model.. .
Optimum is been better lately but they raised bill $20 a month.. I called and ask why n couldn't answer my ?.. they said u have been loyal good customer and we can give u $5dlrs off a month..
I said if I'm new customer i can get bill $20dlrs cheaper.. they pause n again couldn't help me..
I Said f off u guys are garbage and I'm switching as soon as Allo gets up and going.. should be next month of so with our area..

You should still ditch the cable companies equipment. We have a Netgear Nighthawk X45 AC3200 at our house with Optimum. Never have had an issue streaming, ring cameras, etc.

I will look into buying that, works with fiber? Allo deal comes with their router included. I will buy whatever to make run smooth. Optimum has had their chances, they came out last summer and swapped line from pole to house and checked everything. Was good for a bit. Location, I am up Palo Verde South by high school.
