I had a truweld built based on recommendations here on rdp. It was really fairly priced, built super quick with the options i wanted. I really couldnt find anything less expenisive used.

The wiring was poorly done though, I redid it all correctly in a few hours.

Bummer. I’m looking for the 16-18 foot size because we have a couple of quads to put on their too. The Carson trailer sounds like a good price but should I get breaks? I would feel more comfortable if the trailer had breaks.

Carson sold the 16’ double axle no brakes for $1350 last time I bought in 2012.

Any trailer over 3500# is required to have brakes on at least one axle. And unless there is a manufacturer's plate on the trailer stating the GVWR is 3500#, an officer will go by the rating of the axles combined. And id DEFINITELY recommend a double axle. Trailer tires fail too regularly to run a single in my opinion.

We are selling this one. 14' Carson, tandem axle, 4' ramp gate. Upper deck may not be tall enough for a RZR though. Not sure your height.

Thanks everyone for all of the options. I’m thinking Carson trailers might be the best price for what you get. I called Adrenalin trailers and they were like yeah don’t waste our time with a cheap build. I totally understand. I would like to have a bad ass trailer for my toys but then again it’s a desert toy trailer.

What’s the shortest trailer that a stock 4 seater rzr will fit on with a ramp gate? I just bought a big Tex trailer cause it was a good deal but trailer may be short. Wife wants a rzr but not sure if this trailer will work with rear gate

I've got a 16x7 Carson, circa 2000-ish, I've loaded it until the axles are against the frame multiple times, still running great... and on the original tires lmao... can't beat em... I use it as a dump trailer now, load it up for a few months and make a run once its full, it keeps kicking year after year.

I bought one from Rockland 6 years ago. No issues. I replaced the tires 2 years ago.
Here's there prices w/ option list. They are in Phoenix/Scottsdale area near Thomas.
https://rocklandtrailers.com/light-duty-tandem-axle-5k

I have same trailer I just bought this year - I think I went with 16ft. Best build I have ever seen, even better then the big name manufacturers. I checked them all out. Locally built by mom pop shop for years in valley. Big clean welds even where they didn't need them. They use black gloss paint too so it is easy to touch up if you are a bit OCD like I am. lol

It tracks straight and is very easy to tow. Dam good prices too.

I would also recommend double axle and trailer breaks and go a little bigger then length of toy you plan on putting on there cause you will always have extra stuff to bring along.

I tow my rzr xp4 with it and could not be happier with it. I even got a spare tire mount and spare tire with mine. I had to ask and pay extra but well worth it. Also recommend getting roller wheel that you can put on the jack after you stop and are going to disconnect as it makes maneuvering the double axle easier by lifting and pushing only when needing to adjust and not having to lift front the entire time while moving it into its parking place. I only tow with the foot on the jack as the wheel hangs too low for my comfort level.

In my experience... in dealing with CList...
Used trailers are almost the cost of a new one, but the tires are worn out, they are thrashed. By the time you replace the tires, lights, etc...

I would have been smarter to just buy a new one....

Unless someone on RD's hooks you up...

Sold a nice Big Tex 6.5x14 utility trailer about 18 months ago to get a enclosed 6.5x14...

BTW... the Big Tex trailers are damn good trailers. In my experience much higher quality that the Carsons, Az Tex, and others.

I would avoid Carsons... my Landscaper, has one... I have personally fixed over a dozen broken welds on it. He uses/abuses it, but really... welds that never really had a major load on them, have broken??

I’ll post pictures of it after I update the cage and doors. I don’t like anything stock.

So I went looking at trailers and for a 7 or 8 FT wide by 18ft Long dual axle with breaks trailer, I’m looking at $3400.00. Looks like uhaul will be my trailer until I find a nice used one.

I actually have a 16 ft flat bed that needs work, weld in a few new cross members and some 2x6 decking, has a big aluminum tool box on the Frt. I don’t have any pics with me, I’m in Havasu and Trailer is in Escondido, make ya a great deal if you want a little work..... I bought a new one from PJ’s in Beaumont.

Mine has 2- 3500 lb axles and I think it has one brake set up. Adding a 2nd set up is easy, if you want. It’s been towed to Moab with a jeep TJ twice and also used to haul toys to the dez...
