We found this guy last week in our neighborhood. At first he looked like a mean SOB but is actually a big cream puff. This is someone’s dog and we have been working hard at finding his owner, but no luck so far. He is not chipped, he is fixed and approximately a year old. He is very chill and is a good listener. He’s some kind of Queensland mix. We have 2 other dogs(both rescues) and he gets along with them just fine. We are located in Visalia(central Cal). We are talking to a couple shelters, but if we can’t find his owner we want him to have a good home.

He looks like a good boy....
He’s better behaved than our dogs. I know I’m half screwed on this because my kids names him. But he will make a great friend for someone.

I hear ya and appreciate it. He’s far from suffering right now, but I’m sure he misses his owner.

You obviously are doing the right thing - just pisses me off that someone isn't worried sick about him. I have a reward tag on mine - if he ever got away, the finder will be able to name their price - that guy means more to me than anything else i have!!!!!

How do you know his name is Hank, or is that the name you gave him?

Last year I put my Cow Dog named Hank down. He was the best cattle dog ever and we miss him.

We've always had cattle dogs. After Hank died we rescued a cattle dog mix and discovered he's missing a few marbles. Instead of herding horses, he attacks them, lol.

There's a cattle dog rescue group on Facebook if you get hung up, maybe they can help. Good luck.

That’s the name we gave him. Hank the tank, he’s a chunker. I will have my wife look into the FB rescue group. Thank you!

I amazes me as well, if one of ours got loose we would do everything we could to get them back. We’ve driven the areas around here looking for “lost dog” signs but no luck. We are making up “found” dog signs to put out this week.

Holy cow he is cute! I wish we were in the position to have a dog.

Oh and bump for helping a sweet animal out.

Hey Mike,

A very nice thing you are doing!

My wife volunteers at Animal Compassion Team (ACT) in Fresno. I help out when I can.
The Shelter is no kill and not a bad place to be for dogs. Everybody tries super hard and the place is clean. When we return from dog walks, the dogs are never sad or scared to come “home”. (Which is how I judge the place )
They are there if you need them but I hope you find his home.

So he is good with Kids and other dogs?
We have 2 other dogs and he’s been great with them. We have cats as well and he doesn’t really care about them. Not sure about small kids as we have not had him around any. But based on his demeanor, I would think he would be fine(but I don’t know for sure).

I thought he was older as well, but our vet said he was approximately a year. We had him checked for a chip, he didn’t have one.
