Lost my lower and prop in front of Pirates. Looks like my mid section broke in half. Is there anyone who does this?

I'll be out there this weekend if you can't find someone before then.

Do you think the lower and prop are still attached?

I hit something that looked like the size a tree last time out. I went straight over it but I didn't see any damage. Probably cracked the mid and the next time I went out, well you see the results.

Bummer Paul.

We could find it, but we are not in route to the river this weekend, unless my son wants the challenge. Can you see the bottom in front of pirates? I think you can. 25' ? I'd free dive it as scuba in a flowing river is a whole other ball game.

Did you try the boat salvage guys? They dive. After it all it is a boat - just not the whole thing.

Damn. Broke off? Talk about a shitty deal.

Should be easy to find.

One of the members did it for Paul65ks glasses. Hit him up.

Diving in that water though.....ugh....:)

It's pretty clear. Way beyond my ability though. Current. 20/25'. It was dead center. And carrying that lower up. Yikes. I'll look into salvage service too. Probably get my insurance involved if I go that route. Those guys aren't cheap.

Want me to just free dive this weekend and grab it? Why the hell do you need a scuba tank to grab something in 8' of water?!?!?!?!?

More than welcome to try. There was a guy at pirates. It happened right in front of his camp site. He's gonna see if he can spot it today and give me a call.

If you can see bottom it would be best to locate it first from a boat if possible. It might take a while.

I'm thinking it is 15'-20' there? They don't experience a water level fluctuation there, do they?

Find it and rope it. If he finds it by boat that is the hard part. Don't spend big bucks before PM-ing me first.

Is it really 20-25 deep anywhere on parker except up by the dam?

I would think more like 10-15?

Philpot (yes the old Buckskin Fire Chief) and his son were doing a lot of the 'dive and salvage work' on Parker in the past .

You could also call Johnny Zuccala at 'Dive Time' in Havasu . Jimmy at Chong's Marine knows how to contact Johnny quickly . (they often work together)

Looks like the mid cracked vertically right behind the motor mount ehh? Did it just snap the other bolts and studs off or something?

was following "big steve" in his War-canoe in Delta last year and his Merc 3.2 stroker 300XS had exact same failure at 100mph,identical to your pik where it took section of mid housing with it:(we were gonna drag or dive for it,but never did..OK by me as that water has less then foot visibility most time of year, also with those speeds,no telling exact location

Come on OD1, I thought you were smart enough to throw Meg Meg in the water with a pair of goggles while you sit back and drink a beer! ;)

Good news. The guy who witnessed it at Pirates found it. He marked off two points shore to shore. Says it looks to be intact. Prop and drive shaft are still on it. He thinks it's in 10' of water.

Yes. Studs are snapped off. Looks like I just have to buy an exhaust housing.
