NASCAR Phoenix Int speedway

So going to my first Nascar race this Sunday. Anyone got some tips?

Spend the $ to rent the race packs and the headsets. Makes for a cool experience. Also show up a little early to check out all the vendors and displays. Lots of stuff to look at.

Nascar racers are bitchen. I haven't been in some years. I was going to go to Fontana next weekend, but need to go test the crackerbox in Parker.

Pound some beer, put the chick in some daisy dukes, rock a MAGA hat and enjoy the racing life!

We always had an rv spot and walked to Rattlesnake hill.
It's nice because you can see the whole track and stretch out on blankets or your own chairs.
It's not as close as the grandstands though. Make sure you get seats high enough so you aren't looking through the fence.

I agree with the headsets but if you decide not to do those, at least bring some sort of hearing protection. I went to the indy car race and forgot to bring them and my left ear was ringing all night. Have fun out there!

When I went for Indy Car parking lot wasn't too bad. Not great, but not any worse than a football game or a supercross but I do think that there are less people at Indy Car than NASCAR

Not sure about Phoenix but Fontana sucks getting out they make all traffic go in one direction. Nascar races are a lot of fun all kinds of stuff goes on before the race get there early and enjoy

The track is so far out of town that a Uber/Lyft would probably cost a small fortune.

Its about $30 to get there just thinking about the way home.

Just leave a couple bottles of water in your car and hang out for a few and sober a bit. Traffic flows out of there pretty good I wouldn't sweat it, unless there is an accident on the 10. I will give the track in Phoenix credit, they have the traffic figured out good, in and out.

I live a few blocks from the track. You’re more than welcome to park your vehicle here If needed.

Don't get seats near the track you want to be at least half way up the stands, i had third row one time thinking it would be great, the cars are so fast that you can't even tell who is going by you and its deafening , ended up watching the screens to tell what is going on

Phoenix was one of my favorite tracks when I worked in IndyCar. I also worked with a USAC team when they ran the Copper World Classic.

Did you guys know the IndyCars raced there from the early 60s until 2006? They went back a couple of years ago, but the new track configuration doesn't work and the attendance was terrible. From an open wheel racing perspective, the track is now worthless, just another bastardized NASCAR oval.

But don't mind me, go to the race and have fun. There's no track in America that has a unique and beautiful setting like Phoenix.
