I had to make an unexpected visit to IMCO in Boulder City on Wednesday to get my steering rams rebuilt. Not only we’re they accommodating and fast due to my untimely failure (right in the middle of our vacation), but Charlie and Frank?, are about the nicest guys in the world. Rebuilt both rams and had us back on the road to Havasu in under 2 hours.

While I was there, Frank showed me a 18’ scarab he had put together.. says he thinks he wants to sell it. It was pretty cool. I told him I would throw it on here in case anyone has any interest.

Has a V6 with and alpha drive.. and of course IMCO EVERYTHING.

It is a "Life Line" atleast that's what the brochure says🤷🏻‍♂️
It’s pretty unique. I’ve seen a lot of stanchions supporting lifelines on sailboats out in the ocean, but never on a lake/river powerboat before. Usually they’re around the edge of the hull. I actually had one save my life in a Newport Ensenada race one year when we lost the port gib sheet middle of the night middle of a storm.

Nice float.

That boat of Fred’s is bad ass, absolutely cut and dry utilitarian but the rigging is super clean. Looked it over a few years back when Ron was still there. It’s fast to if i recall ran in the 70’s.
