I'm running the 100A HPWC never had any issues. Did you run the outlet yourself?

If the photos aren’t clear the “electrician” before did not torque down the lug on the B leg.

It worked for 4 months probably arcing the whole time. Then finally burned up the receptacle.

The electrician was probably only licensed in 2 states...shoot for 3 at a minimum.

Are you a glass is half full or half empty type of guy?

Empty..... You had two major electrical issues to deal with and now have to fix
Full.... You had two major electrical issues and didn't burn your house down with either one.

Life is all about perspective.

I’m an electrical contractor..... we’re at a clients house.

Didn’t want the HVAC guys to have all of the fun [emoji1303][emoji1303]

I’m not an electrician, but I did stay in a Marriott hotel last night and can tell you that something is not right.

The short of it is they used under sized conductors for the heaters.

Worked for a while (Years) and then finally said nope.

Wires are in the attic that easily reaches 120+ on a hot day. Plus the heat the heaters contributed.

All is well. New & correctly sized wire will go in and the client gets 4 new heaters [emoji1303]
