My Schiada Regatta Weekend..

The only thing I got out of 8 pages of this is I thought RD quit smoking?

Curious, the Canyon, that's gotta be a different company than the one Carter Reed owned in San Dimas back in the late 80's right? Because that P.O.S. couldn't build an F'n boat out of Lego's.

Plenty of awesome boats and pics.

One day one of the Parker peeps will have to extend an invite my way so I can enjoy an epic weekend.

Carter actually built a nice boat when he had Canyon. The San Dimas shop was right down from ours at the Time.

Had his Brother in law? Gary Kincaid of Showtime Marine build a motor for me instead of buying a new boat.

Carter just never seemed really friendly kinda guy, maybe it was just me.

Damn...after readin' all these thing's and lookin at the pics of the Schiada's and the (one) Spectra18,makes me wish I knew some of you peeps so I could come and hang (party) with you guy's for a weekend,with my Lil Spectra....Maybe one day,I hope... I was actually thinkin' about shootin' down there for this weekend with my son for a Lil' Playtime! I gotta book a one night stay (Saturday) for me to do it..any suggestions....no motorhome..probaby just tentin' it:grumble: but I'd love to get my son out there to check out Parker..all he's seen is Needles area...Anyway..VERY COOL pic's Dave,Thanx!:champagne:

I think that Saturday at the Bluewater casino is now at offseason prices. I think it is $119. $59 on Sun-Thurs. And at night after coming off the water, then eating, you can take your boy in the indoor swimming pools and waterslide. It's a fun time with the kids. Big kids too. We don't even gamble.

I used to boat Parker al the time in my spectra18. it was actually the same color scheme as yours my brother has it now and he does Parker in it.

Carter Reed owned (owns?) Warlock I'm pretty sure, not Canyon? And actually back in the day he built some pretty sick boats? ACtually even today they still can build a pretty sick boat.. I had a buddy that build a Warlock Diablo with stand off boxes etc.. It was built like a tank, and was clean inside and out!

He was or still is backed by someone at Warlock. He owned Canyon in San Dimas back in the late 80's, he built a 21 open bow for me and the thing was a huge P.O.S. I look forward to to a trip to Parker, let me know and no hurry considering the wedding and all.

He may have built a good boat for someone but not for me, had a stringer snap second trip out, and the transom leaked like a siv(sp) from day one, never honored his word. I ended up spending alot of $$$ at Campbell to have the transom rebuilt.

Know were carter is hiding? Got a buddy that wants to ask him a few questions about his boat.

Him and alot of peeps I'm sure. My brother and I put quite a scare into that Fat Bastard. Karma I'm sure has caught up to that A-Hole.

I didn't know I had a twin.
It was nice to meet Mike D at your place Dave. I did not realize how much his boat looked like mine.

Well Mike, your boat was kinda at the Regatta, in the garage. Both yours and Mike D's boat are two of my favorites. I think that the engine hatches are awesome and, of course, the Schiada Logo imbeded in the transom of your boat is quite distinctive. I thought that some folks on the boards would be interested, so I attached a couple of photo's.
