My Schiada Regatta Weekend..

Since most of my photo's are just of the weekend I figured I'd put them in here instead of the Schiada section. After looking at the pics it's no wonder I feel like I do today.. LOL

I had Dirty Deeds Tim detail the Schiada for the regatta. Boat looked BITCHEN when I showed up at around 11:00 pm on thursday night.

(It should be noted I called him on tuesday and needed the boat detailed and a new bildge pump put in.. Both were done!)

That is actually a 24'.. and yes I got pics of the whole boats at the regatta coming up.

That is a 20 Schiada River Tunnel. It was actually sold / bought on here. The new owner goes by the name Desertracer/rider? something like that.

I ran a little over 80 at 5200'ish RPM in that boat.. It was overpropped and should run / red line at 62 something.

This is a bitchen 18 Spectra.. And a Canyon!! The Canyon near as i can tell is the same as a Spectra 20, but a slightly different Transom.. (Looks a lot better than a Spectra 20 on the transom)

This is Mike's 24.. (The red / grey one with the Ilmore Stand off Box) We hitched a ride with him down to the casino to do some drinking.. LOL Friday early evening From Stacy's perspective with the olympus camera in the front of the boat.

*Random Schiada History. Mike Dykman originally built my hull as a v-drive, but wanted one with more red in it. This Mike ended purchasing the Hull and Schiada built it as an I/O. We bought my 21 off this Mike, when he was building this 24.

In the 2nd pic, it takes 2 people now to figure out how to untie the boat.. and I think we're arguing about who's getting in 1st or something.

Sneaky Sleeper right here.. All under the hatch (flat hatch) twin turbo boat. This is the kinda boat that'll run up along side ya and just ruin your whole day. LOL I'm not sure how he got it all under the hatch without the usual "tell tale" eyelits.. He must be running some lower profile manifolds than most the others or something.

I rode in Matt and Suzy's boat all day Sat. first time in it. Quite the boat. Saw 86 MPH @ 5500 and smooth as silk. Had a blast all weekend, will post my pics soon.

No they don't.. They cut the whaler deck mold up. Truthfully though Schiada isn't like other mfg's... If you really wanted one, they'll make you one, it'd just be a custom one off. Probably start with a standard 22 deck and then open it up and go from there etc..

You have any more pics of how they mounted this hatch setup? I like the look of it.

No what you see is what you got as far as the pics.. It doesn't look that overly complicated to me though?

Couple vents on the back, when they are through bolted you have a horizontal bar for those hinges to rotate on, and your done? Just have to make sure the horizontal is mounted horizontally in the boat (as they curve along the boat)

Pretty sure Get Real Performance, Dana Marine Products, and Eddie Marine all make some nice internal hinges..

Actually in looking at his pics, it looks like they mounted the rotating assemblies to the inside "lip" of the hull instead of to the vertical on the vents towards the transom. You can see 4 bolts on the inside lip spread out, and you can see they are perfectly horizontal regardless of the hull curviture.

Mike Dykman's N/A 21 V-drive.. This is one of my neighbors, also the guy that originally had my boat laid up.

Mike is one of the few that really uses his boat. Everytime I'm at the river I see it on his dock or out cruising around. The boat is still flawless.
