March of 2019, but today she got her $1,200.00 stimulus deposited in the joint account we have. We'll see how long til they figure it out, and take it back?

Same thing happend to us after my Mom passed in 09. Dad was getting Gov checks for military injury and week after she passed, that months check was deposited in her account. Month later bank called and said US goverment took the money out of my account, end of story. Pretty carzy they have that kind of power.

It's because they base it on 2018 or 2019 tax returns, whichever are currently on file.

I'm seeing on-line that a lot of people that passed away are getting checks.

I am sure my Mother will get one as well. She passed on 3-24-20. I am hoping my sister/trustee either A) Returns it or B) Donates it to a worthy cause
