I can’t help but think “damn that’s a big boat for outboards”. But from what I’m hearing it’s pulling decent numbers and from the article I read on SOTW Randy seems pleased with the acceleration on it..

I haven’t examined it under a microscope but my only comment (for me because I’m half crippled) would he I wish there was a second step going from the cabin to the transom.

The one thing I do think is way ahead of the game that nobody has pointed out.. it might be big for 450’s but everyone and their brother knows that Mercury is releasing larger outboards at some point in the near future. Lots of rumors about what they will be but I can assure you having known people personally that work at Merc racing.. unless you work there you don’t know for sure. They keep those cards pretty close to the vest.

Awesome boat, but 44' and only 8 seats. That would be plenty of seats for the number of friends I currently have, but after buying one of these I expect that number to increase.

Beautiful. There is room for some big inboards in there. I wonder if you could do staggered quad 1650s with arnesons? Or maybe a pair of big cat diesels? Either way amazing boat.

There is definitely a market for a v12 Merc outboard with a conventional mid and lower.

I would only buy one with 6 seats! Mine has 6 and that is plenty. When 6 adults are in these boats it really turns them into pigs and not near as fun to drive.

If the water is as big as they are saying I don’t think anyone is going to make the scheduled run.. 10’a-11’s is ducking huge.. I can’t think of most any performance boat that is going to run well in that shit. 4-5’s are one thing.. this is a whole different level.

Even if you can do it it’s gonna be a miserable / wet / long ride..

Years ago one of the DCB interior guys went to Cigarette, but he is back on the west coast.
Last I heard MTI outsourced its interior to a shop in the LOTO area

NO ONE is running 100 in 11ft seas ! Even staying on plane will test a boat in something like that. Having been in 82ft MKV‘s in big seas , I can tell ya, just keeping the boat from breaking is enough.

Well, no.

But this water should only remind buyers bigger is better, yeah?

If you buy one of these boats primarily to make only a handful of Poker Runs a season, it would hurt to miss one (or suffered) because you opted for the smaller boat.

Is this much wider than a 390? It does not appear like it is.

If it’s not any wider, how much heavier is it? 500 lbs maybe?

Thing will still rip even with 450s.
