MSD 6 al SERIES FUSE SIZE

Does anyone know what the Fuse size would be for a MSD 6 al ?
6000 RPM's would be the max with a limit chip

MSDTECH they said that you can add a 30A fuse INLINE on the heavy red 12V Power Lead between the battery and the box.
But Not Required

You talking power fuse or the Rev plugs to limit RPM?

My MSD 6 is on a 30 amp fuse for power. I have a 6000 rpm chip in the box

My 30amp fuse did not keep my MSD Blaster 2 Ignition Coil from Exploding last evening.
It was all my stupid fault, I was trouble shooting my Bennett system out for about 1 1/2 hours with the key on and my coil Blew up.
What a mess, lt was a good thing I was not near it. 50 bucks down the drain.

Damn!!! I have the same setup, but I don’t recall putting a fuse in line for the box... now I’ll have to check. I’m on borrowed for the MSD box.. 8 years and over 400 hours, still running.. fingers crossed [emoji1694]

A resistor is needed in some applications on a standard coil.
I've never had a coil fail like that. Strange.

I called MSD they told me that they get phone calls all the time from people leaving the ignition key on for hours.
I put an on and off switch and a red light on the small red wire that goes to the ignition now. I will not do that stupid thing again.

In the "Old days" One just burned up the points leaving the key on.
