Easier to do it yourself than try and get it in. Unless it needs something else I would just knock it out myself.

Another for do it yourself... I just did ours and saved a ton of $$$$ for not much work. I serviced the Allison Transmission, Cat C9, and the fuel system in about 4 hours for 1/3 the price the local service place wanted.

Agree, I do mine (6.7ibs Cummings) and it’s easy. Oil, filter, fuel filter for about $300 - that’s dextrin syn, and I know it’s done right!

I went here 4 or 5 years ago to have a full inspection and oil change done, after purchasing our new to us motorhome. The owner was nice and they got us in and done in a few days. I remember having sticker shock at the cost, but I really wanted a set of professional eyes on it to give it a clean bill of health.

shops charge wayyy too much for oil changes on RV's

one trick to make it way easier as a DIY job is to install a fumoto valave / drain plug, then you can drain the old oil into the 1gal jugs that the new oil comes in.

How does this work, you have to drain all of the oil before you have any empty containers, no? Im envisioning someone dumping in 1 gal of new oil, and then draining 1 gallon of "old" oil from bottom of pan into the new oil container and thinking thats not the right way to do an oil change.....

well the first time around before you install the valve, you just do a regular oil change and dump the old oil into a bucket or huge catch pan etc. Install the valve, dump in your fresh oil and you are left with 5-7 clean 1 gallon jugs. Save them for your next oil change. The cool part about the valve is you can attach a hose to it, flip it on or off etc to control draining the oil. That is usually the hardest part about a motorhome oil change is getting the old 5-7gallons of used oil out and into something to hold it. with the valve you can drain the oil into old water jugs, oil jugs, buckets etc.
