Not sure where the wheel center caps went over the years, any ideas on if this wheel is still made and by who?

Curious if you could run the center caps for those wheels with the bearing buddies?

I think that crager was the original maker of that style wheel. but I know someone else came out with that style also, but I don't remember who

I want to say they're Centerline 928 wheel. Seems they were popular with the Pontiac Fiero crowd and some Corvettes in the mid 80's from the searches i did.

Maybe have RiverDave spin you out some custom ones that would accommodate the bearing buddies?

Those are crager or center lines..

HeyLam You would have to be really really motivated to do something like that manually..

Definitely not centerline, almost positively a Cragar, maybe Keystone. Caps will definitely be swap meet or eBay. They probably removed the caps for the bearing buddy's.

They were made for many wheel companies back in the day, Cragar, ARE, Conti and a few others. I use to have access to replacement centers but my source stopped importing them. I assume some are still out there, if memory serves me correct about 6.5" with 3 metal flex clips for fitment.

Not sure if these would fit but these might have room for a bearing buddy also? Would have to check OD and attachment points to see if they'd work

My 89 Eliminator 24 Daytona had those Nordic used them too. Mine were on an R/S trailer. Good luck finding those I had a hard time finding them in the mid 90's. You can use a buddy bearing behind them without the bra on it. Tight fit.

I was going to say i am familiar with those when i worked for Prime Wheel Corporation and before that when i sold the Unique line, so i'd suggest just searching some manufacturer names.

But it looks like there is a link posted already!

Here's an idea for everyone running custom wheels. About six months after I bought some MB wheels for my Excursion, one of the center caps was lost. I didn't know if the design was poor or what, so I went back to Discount Tire and ordered four replacement caps.

Since then (seven years ago) I've lost another one, but I still have two spares. I suggest buying extra caps while they are still in production, because a few years from now you might lose one and a replacement won't be available.

i had these same wheels on my cole when i owned it. i bought replacements from phils place at the time. the center caps will float off if you back in the water really quick. water rushes in behind them and pops them off.

curious if these caps worked out for one-a-day? my buddy has these same wheels on his flatty trailer and of course no caps. i wonder how hard it would be to cut the center out if the BB sticks out too far?

I was thinking the same thing you probably couldn't chuck it in a lathe but put it on a rotary table on a mill possibly, I've done some machining but I'm not a machinist maybe RD could chime in on my thought.

Pull another cap off. Put the part number on Safari and push search. Info on one's for sale should pop up.
Good luck

I have found missing one off caps at Hub Cap Mikes in Orange, right off 57 at Ball. Also in Bellflower there is a shop that has been there for 50 years, Collins Wheels, he has a ton of old stuff, Lakewood and Artesia South West Corner.
