Mid Oct RV trip. Ideas?

Wife was born in AZ and never to Grand Canyon. We gonna go with the RV. We stay in Laughlin one night on the way. Then I got a place a Grand Canyon. How many days to stay there? Where to go after that? We will have Tues night and be back in So Cal Sunday night. Got some friends from Germany gonna go with us.

Any ideas or tips welcome.

Camping we found 2 to three day max worked for us.
We headed to the Carlsbad Caverns after that.
