Aramark has stated when the old DP was removed, it would be replaced in 3-5 years.
DP was removed due to the employee camp above the dock up the hill being condemned.
They can’t run a fuel dock without an employee camp. Will be interesting to see where it goes.

Im ecstatic about this news!

Im going to guess it will be located in the same area. They really didn't remove much in regards to what was on land. I would imagine they will just wreck the building and rebuild on existing foundations, then build a new fuel dock.

My understanding is, Engineering on the project has been approved. Not an actual build yet. Pack your extra fuel for an undetermined time folks.

Can someone pinpoint on a map where the old fuel station was?

With a full 175 gallon tank, this pin drop is as far as I can make it to and back to antelope point marina without bringing extra fuel or stopping Mid lake to fuel up.

With mid-lake fueling, I bet I could make it from antelope or Wahweap to bullfrog and back.

That's pretty far, especially if you are going there and back for a day trip. I know that I can go from Wahweap to Rainbow Bridge and back with plenty of fuel left, but I hold 200 gallons and my 525's probably burn less than your engines. I get around 1 MPG as long as I keep it under 4,000 rpm

Actually, I might be around the same. At 4,000 RPM I'm going around 60 MPH, and I believe that my 525s are burning around 20 GPH each, 40 GPH total for both engines. I'll have a take a look at my smartcraft the next time I'm on the water.

This is great news! Although I did like how dead the area north of rainbow bridge was.

agreed. that was about the only benefit, i noticed way less traffic at rainbow and up to escalante. you could run that stretch and ski for miles on end and not see another boat.

i will be glad if DR opens, not for the fuel but for the ability to get ice as i mostly camp on the lake.

The NPS Rangers on the docks at Antelope Point last week led us to believe this is still moving forward, however nothing locked down yet.
