What year is the 300X? Better yet do you have your engine serial number handy to help check?
Edit: It's looking like a yes your engine is smart craft compatible but still should have a year and serial # to try and confirm.

The serial numbers are sort of hard to make out as the exact number is very important to know but it looks like one number is 0T818792 while the other is 0T818867.

Yes I believe it should still work even if you already have smart craft gauges...But talk to the Merc dealer of your choice to ensure that it will as you may have to added an JUNCTION BOX item # 17 or 18 depending on your setup you already have. https://www.perfprotech.com/mercury...nstrumentation/assembly/7456/380?umodel=28342

What engine year and model do you have? Is your engine serial number handy?

Edit: just saw your post number 9 above. If your engine is an 2006 496 HO then yes it will work.
