Almost another record jackpot….. who’s in. These pots are getting crazy and I never hear who wins them!
calif has one of the highest pay out.
They have no state tax on lottery winnings.calif has one of the highest pay out.
Did they ever release the name of the last “ winner”. Ya know, the one that was done in secret
Was some comedian in the Ukraine.Did they ever release the name of the last “ winner”. Ya know, the one that was done in secret
The odds are way against you, but someone’s got to win.I've been buying lotto tickets for over 50 yrs. Won $10-20 maybe a dozen times, highest ever was $40 just last year.
Had much better luck in Reno in 1974, $820 with a $1 ticket ,playing 5 spot on Keno. 15 spot was worth 25K back then.
These mega jackpots are a scam, drumming people up to a frenzy to make more money.
However, I have three friends, winning pretty good here in Canada. One, back in the 80's won around $700k out of a $10 mil with a pool group. Next friend also got lucky with a group at her work, 1.4 mil ea, and the last one won 16 mil with a single ticket. two years ago.
Don’t some states require it to be known who wins?I would remain anonymous also
Yes, California being one of themDon’t some states require it to be known who wins?
The odds never change though. The only odds that change from more people buying tickets is you have to split it with someone. The odds are way against you, but someone’s got to win.

But couldn't you put it into a trust or into an LLC and remain anonymousDon’t some states require it to be known who wins?
I thought it was a tax on those who failed statistics.Lotteries are a tax on people who are bad at math.
I bought a ticket also...
I mean it’s public record in CA….. lolSo some other "Random" person will be the sole winner here... Think about it... what kind of shit could possibly take big money to keep quiet these days. I'll still take a swing with the regular sized bat, but don't really expect this to be a clean payout.
In other news, if I did win it all, none of you would ever know.
Yeah we would, cause you'd go silent. LolSo some other "Random" person will be the sole winner here... Think about it... what kind of shit could possibly take big money to keep quiet these days. I'll still take a swing with the regular sized bat, but don't really expect this to be a clean payout.

FIxed itI play here almost weekly. Won $600, $1k, and $100 a few times. Mostly free tickets and $20 wins though. Last week was $55 in wins. I'll get a few Mega's this week. Why not it is only a few bucks and if you win. Will be epic. No state income tax in WA, so Id only pay 37% federal.
What I don't understand is old people here buying lotto tickets. Most of the people I see buying them here are in their 80s at least. It is a waste for them is the way I see it.
Good movieI thought War Games taught us the only way to win was not to play…
Is there a tax on the 2 billion tickets sold? Or only the one billion payout?Lotto is truly a tax on the poor, just stop by a liquor store/donut shop in the ghetto that sells them.
Knuckle heads buying tickets all day long.
Over 2 Billion tickets get sold for a ONE Billion dollar payout. that's a lot of tax.
I'm saying buying tickets is the poor paying a tax.Is there a tax on the 2 billion tickets sold? Or only the one billion payout?
I’d be at the lotto office that morning lol. Imagine losing the winning ticket due to 1 of a million different circumstances.I heard it was called “a tax on the stupid”……. Which makes me a complete idiot. Lol
To answer @beerrun question. If you win……. Don’t fill out the back until you have spoken with an attorney that specializes in exactly this type of prize claim.
My wife and I actually know 2 lottery winners. One of them won 1 million, and took home approx 700k. This was 10 years ago. They bought a waterfront home, and nice boat. We met them at Lake Boca, and now hang out with them a lot. They won when the wife bought a scratch off……. Not the powerball.
Sounds like a happy Lotto ending.... data supports most go bankrupt. They stuffed there's in brick n mortar & glass.... well, one good choiceI heard it was called “a tax on the stupid”……. Which makes me a complete idiot. Lol

There is a liquor store by LAX that has a deli I sometimes get sandwiches from. Dude in a wheelchair sits outside panhandling. He puts a sock on a parking bollard and rests his hand up there. One day, I see a guy give him a couple bucks as I’m walking in. Dude rolls in straight for the lotto kiosk, fills out his numbers and gets his ticket.Lotto is truly a tax on the poor, just stop by a liquor store/donut shop in the ghetto that sells them.

I bought some tickets last night. As usual, had an 80-year-old fucker in a powered wheelchair buying tickets. The guy is going to be dead soon and is handicapped. WTF are they going to do with the money?
