So ya wanna go fast.... spotted this thing in the hood... had to look it up
crazy car...Wonder what the deal is with the different front wheels from the factory?
They are just wheel covers to drastically reduce air turbulence. The wheel is the same as the back.
Right around 45th on Peninsula beachfront home based on address in Nprt... I was cruisin on bike so not sure.Lido?
Beautiful car, saw one in driven in anger at Sonoma last year, was pretty cool.
Yup... that video instructed us well on aerodynamics on this 1K hp auto. I wonder what $1.5M lbs converts to in US.... just checked and its over $2M USWho ever would have guessed that this hi-tech feature would find it's way to a McLaren ?? -- because the front wheel covers don't spin, in order to direct the air flow properly down the side.

One thing I wasn't clear on were the flexible ailerons (Flaps) on the back deck. Wasn't sure if they worked off of negative pressure, or were a controlled surface. Would appear by the way he bent them, the former, but that's kind of reverse logic if they're for downforce.Yup... that video instructed us well on aerodynamics on this 1K hp auto. And he said "similar to aircraft design" which went over my headOne thing I wasn't clear on were the flexible ailerons (Flaps) on the back deck. My take on the rear portion he calls it ailerons is a bit off. Since ailerons on airplanes designed to control roll, they're on the forward wing These corner wings on the car should be called something else. If it has a combined design function [ maybe it has, the presenter didn't mention![]()
] as a aileron for high speed turns or a elevator create downforce at high speed straights, doing those 200+ runs.
Probably should have called it stabilator [ stabilizer+elevator ] ?
