it was funny when Mark would get on a laugh-a-thon and not stop for 5 minutes. I would start laughing.

Awesome! They used to broadcast Mark n Brian here in Albuquerque for a few years back in the 90’s. I remember ditching class just to listen! I had one of their cd’s with their best of stuff, but I lost it.

We had one too. Had skits and song parodies. It was funny as hell!

Remember lucky butt also always liked the birthday guests. One of my favorites was when Brian had a Gene Wilder impersonator call in for Mark and they fooled him the dude sounded real.

YES!! I was trying to remember the Eddie Murphy joke song. ".... My girlsfriends got...a Weiner!"

I actually found that song on the internet recently. I have the link saved somewhere, I will find it and share it here.

Careful though. That is like saying Beatlejuice 3 times for Grads though...

They actually had Tom Cruise in studio and used the impersonator to fool him, he absolutely loved it when they finally came clean it was classic.

Found it

Man, I was all pumped to read this, loved those guys, and would loved to have been able to listen. But that the Thursday of Desert Storm, and I'd rather be at the lake....

Used to listen to them up in Chico years back, then they went off the deep end in politics and I lost interest.

They were pretty good but I always gravitated to the old Rock102. 1 out of San Diego. Good old Dave, Shelly and Chainsaw!

The best Mark & Brian events (IMO) were the Celebrity Golf Tournaments they use to host. One year George Lopez signed his golf glove and gave it to my daughter, I thought that was pretty cool...

Glad I am not the only one...I never really got their humor. I really enjoyed listening to Stern- but now have a hard time listening to him too.

They were funny as fuck for the first few years. Like others have said, it went downhill from there. Towards the end, it sounded like they actually hated each other and you could tell they hated coming to work every day. It was really sad.

I guess nothing stays fresh forever...

Cept the river. Maybe. ;)

In the end they were phoning in their show from separate states. They were not even in the same building. It's kind of sad that Mark was the one who wanted to leave the radio "life" and yet he is/was the first one to jump back into it.
Some of their Christmas shows will never be topped for fun and star power that they attracted. The TV show was the high water mark for me. The daily show got stale waaay before they shut it down sadly.

Never listened to them. I did use to listen to Stern, Lykis and KFI but mostly listened to the sports talk shows.

Because of this thread I just turned in to the last 15 minutes. That first St. Patrick's day drunk show was crazy.
And I had forgotten all about Skin For Skylord. LOL
But Tom Lykis perfected that whole deal for us regular guys without a helo.
