Most oils other than the super high end brands come from two refiners. I use rotella t5and t6 in customers motors as it holds up better to fuel contamination from trolling/extended idling.
I have customers that have run the shit out of their stuff for years on walmart 15-40 and 25-50. Much of the time it depends how much you want to pay for the name on the label.
